Inleiding
In streek-eigen trant gebouwde STOLPBOERDERIJ van het WestFriese type aan de noordwestzijde van het Westeinde. De zuidwestgevel en het gehele interieur zijn in 1864 door verbouwing gewijzigd. Het timpaan in het fronton van de klokgevel heeft een steen met dit jaartal. De draagconstructie en delen van het muurwerk, waaronder de klokgevel, zijn waarschijnlijk 18de eeuws. De achterzijde is gewijzigd zonder het monumentale karakter te schaden. In 1976 is de boerderij gerestaureerd.
Omschrijving
De gedeeltelijk onderkelderde stolpboerderij is opgetrokken op een vrijwel vierkant grondplan en bestaat uit een parterre en kapverdieping onder een samengesteld dak, bestaande uit een schilddak, dat op het zuid- en noordoosten gecombineerd wordt met een zadeldak. Het dak is rietgedekt met een vrijwel rondomgaande pannenrand van zwarte Hollandse pannen. De inwendige vierkante constructie heeft vier pijlers met dekbalkgebinten en overstek aan twee zijden. Aan de noordwestzijde is een al bestaand overstek verlengd terwijl het overstek aan de zuidwestzijde in zijn geheel in 1864 aan de vierkantsconstructie is toegevoegd. Het muurwerk is overwegend opgetrokken in rode baksteen. Op diverse plaatsen zijn de schieters van de ankers zichtbaar. De voorzijde (ZO) heeft een getrapt profiel en bevat drie geveldelen. Aan de linkerzijde bevindt zich de al eerder genoemde klokgevel, vervolgens wijkt de gevel terug en geheel ter rechterzijde wordt de gevel tenslotte afgesloten door de ten opzichte van het tweede geveldeel terugwijkende darsdeur. De klokgevel heeft op de beide hoeken geblokte pilasters. De pilasters worden bekroond met een gestileerde natuurstenen abacus. De parterre heeft een centraal geplaatste paneeldeur met ijzeren harnas en bovenlicht. In het bovenlicht bevindt zich een gietijzeren levensboom. De geveltop heeft een negenruits schuifvenster. Op de beide bovenhoeken van de klokgevel, direct boven de abacussen van de pilasters, bevindt zich een acanthusvormige krulmotief. De beide krulmotieven vormen de aanzetten van de ingezwenkte klokgevel waarvan het metselwerk met natuursteen is afgezet. De klokgevel wordt in de top bekroond door een fronton met in het timpaan het jaartal 1864. De korte rechterzijmuur van de klokgevel heeft een schuifvenster met zesruitsroedenverdeling. A FARMHOUSE OF THE STOLP TYPE built in regional style on the northwest side of the Westeinde. The southwest facade and the entire interior were altered by renovation in 1864. Description
The partially cellared stolp farmhouse is built on an approximately square floor plan and consists of a ground floor and a roof space storey beneath a composite roof, consisting of a hipped roof which on the south and northeast is combined with a gabled roof. The roof is thatched with reed and has an almost complete border of black Dutch tiles. The internal square structure has four posts with collar-tie trusses and overhangs on two sides. On the northwest side an existing overhang has been extended, while the overhang on the southwest side was entirely added to the square structure in 1864. The masonry is predominantly built in red brick. At various places the visible parts of the wall anchors can be seen. The front (SE) has a stepped profile and contains three facade sections. On the left side is the aforementioned bell gable, then the facade steps back, and on the far right the facade is finally closed by the barn doorway which steps back in relation to the second facade section. The bell gable has blocked pilasters on both corners. The pilasters are crowned with a stylized natural stone abacus. The ground floor has a centrally placed panelled door with iron fittings and a fanlight. In the fanlight is a cast-iron tree of life. The gable top has a nine-pane sash window. On both upper corners of the bell gable, directly above the abaci of the pilasters, is an acanthus-shaped curl motif. The two curl motifs form the start of the curved bell gable, whose masonry is finished with natural stone. The bell gable is crowned at the top by a pediment with the date 1864 in the tympanum. The short right sidewall of the bell gable has a sash window with six-pane glazing bars. The recessed second facade section has a nine-pane sash window. The short right sidewall of the second facade section has a six-pane window. To the right of this is the recessed barn doorway. The barn wall on the right side (NE) has four two-light windows. A fifth two-light window is located in the top gable on the right side, which closes off the northeast side on the right.
