Omschrijving
Eén bouwlaag hoog SCHOOLGEBOUW op rechthoekige plattegrond, geheel opgemetseld van rode baksteen en gedekt door wolfeind-schilddak van geglazuurde blauwe platte Friese pannen; bakgoot op klossen of beugels. Vensters zijn rondboogvensters met gietijzeren roeden en beëindiging door rollaag van gele baksteen.
Voorgevel, westgevel, heeft uitgebouwd portiek dat twee bouwlagen hoog is en gedekt wordt door een zadeldak met strak gedecoreerde windveren. In portiek een dubbele paneeldeur met lage bakstenen stoep en houten luifel; boven luifel een natuurstenen gevelsteen met opschrift:' GEBOUW van de NEDERL. HERV. GEMEENTE'; boven gevelsteen een zesruits segmentboogvenster. Aan weerszijden van uitbouw een rondboogvenster; in beide gevelhoek gevlochten metselwerk. Zuidgevel heeft vier uitgespaarde gevelvelden met elk een rondboogvenster. Noordgevel heeft drie uitgespaarde gevelvelden en een trasraam van gesinterde steen. In achtergevel, oostgevel, zat vroeger een venster dat waarschijnlijk in de jaren twintig is dichtgezet; aan achtergevel kleine aanbouw van rode baksteen met een plat dak daterend uit de jaren twintig; in zuidgevel van aanbouw een deur met zesruits venster.
INTERIEUR heeft origineel balkenplafond met een gietijzeren luchtrooster; in zuidwand een halfronde nis met omlijsting.

Description
One-storey high SCHOOL BUILDING on rectangular plan, entirely built of red brickwork and covered by half-hipped hipped roof of glazed blue flat Frisian tiles; gutter on corbels or brackets. Windows are round-arch windows with cast-iron glazing bars and termination by yellow brick roll moulding.
Front facade, west facade, has built-out portico that is two storeys high and covered by a gabled roof with strictly decorated wind braces. In portico a double panelled door with low brick stoop and wooden canopy; above canopy a natural stone foundation stone with inscription: 'BUILDING of the DUTCH REFORMED CONGREGATION'; above foundation stone a six-pane segmental arch window. On either side of extension a round-arch window; in both facade corner woven brickwork. South facade has four recessed facade fields each with a round-arch window. North facade has three recessed facade fields and a sintered stone framework. In rear facade, east facade, was formerly a window that was probably closed in during the twenties; to rear facade small extension of red brickwork with a flat roof dating from the twenties; in south facade of extension a door with six-pane window.
INTERIOR has original beam ceiling with cast-iron air grate; in south wall a semicircular niche with surround.
