Inleiding
Rooms katholieke KERK, opgedragen aan Johannes Vianney (Pastoor van Ars), gebouwd in ca. 1930 naar ontwerp van M. Roebbers. De kerk is gebouwd in traditionalistische stijl met schoon metselwerk. De entreeportalen en scheidingsbogen hebben een parabool vorm.
Hoewel het een basiliek betreft heeft de kerk de ruimtewerking van een centraalbouw. Het schip is even breed als hoog, het koor is breed en in verhouding ondiep, waardoor de viering van de eredienst goed te volgen is. De keuze voor een dergelijke overzichtelijke plattegrond was het gevolg van de liturgische vernieuwingsbeweging in de jaren '20 die streefde naar actievere deelname van de kerkgangers aan de mis, waartoe een overzichtelijker ruimtetype nodig was.
Het glas-in-lood in de kerk is vervaardigd door Asperslagh uit Den Haag.
Omschrijving
Driebeukige basiliek onder zadeldak met dakruiter, met een smallere narthex onder een lager zadeldak en een vijfzijdige absis.
De voorgevel van de narthex heeft entrees in portieken met paraboolbogen en drielicht vensters. In de geveltop een nis met het beeld van Pastoor van Ars.
Aan de zijgevels steunberen op de traveescheidingen.
Het schip heeft zes traveeën onder een open houten tongewelf. De scheibogen van het gewelf rusten op uitgemetselde pilasters. Per travee op de begane grond een paraboolboog, in de lichtbeuk drie spitsboogvensters en vijf ruitvormige vensters. Aan de westzijde boven de narthex drie balkons. Het koor heeft de vorm van een halfronde absis met straalkapellen onder paraboolbogen. In het halfronde gewelf dubbele spitsboogvensters.
Het interieur van de kerk is verrijkt met houtsnijwerk. Banken en bankenplan zijn origineel.

Introduction
Roman Catholic CHURCH, dedicated to John Vianney (Curé of Ars), built circa 1930 after a design by M. Roebbers. The church was built in traditionalist style with exposed brickwork. The entrance portals and dividing arches have a parabolic form.
Although it concerns a basilica, the church has the spatial effect of a centrally-planned building. The nave is as wide as it is high, the choir is broad and proportionally shallow, whereby the celebration of worship is easy to follow. The choice for such a transparent floor plan was the result of the liturgical renewal movement in the 1920s which aimed at more active participation of churchgoers in the mass, for which a more transparent spatial type was necessary.
The stained glass in the church was produced by Asperslagh from The Hague.
Description
Three-aisled basilica beneath a gabled roof with roof turret, with a narrower narthex beneath a lower gabled roof and a five-sided apse.
The front facade of the narthex has entrances in porches with parabolic arches and three-light windows. In the gable top a niche with the image of the Curé of Ars.
On the side facades buttresses on the bay divisions.
The nave has six bays beneath an open wooden barrel vault. The dividing arches of the vault rest on projecting pilasters. Per bay on the ground floor a parabolic arch, in the clerestory three pointed arch windows and five diamond-shaped windows. On the west side above the narthex three balconies. The choir has the form of a semicircular apse with radial chapels beneath parabolic arches. In the semicircular vault double pointed arch windows.
The interior of the church is enriched with wood carving. Pews and pew arrangement are original.

Roman Catholic church of architectural-historical importance by reason of:
