HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG. De kern van de buitenplaats wordt gevormd door de rechthoekige huisplaats, die oorspronkelijk was omgracht. Aan de westkant van het huis loopt de bestrate Hemmelerweg (oprijlaan). Ten zuiden van het huis ligt een rechthoekige aanleg met een utilitair karakter, bestaande uit een hoogstamboomgaard en een voormalige moestuin, waaromheen een oude taxushaag. Direct ten oosten van het huis een parterre de broderie van buxus en een grasveld met monumentale eik. Langs de rand van de sieraanleg staan drie bewerkte natuurstenen paaltjes (XIX). De geometrische opzet van de kern van de buitenplaats wordt bepaald door enkele lanen rondom het huis, waarvan de drie parallelle eikenlanen (noord - zuid) het meest opvallend zijn: de oostelijke laan is bij de aanleg in landschapsstijl in 1906 verdwenen, de middelste is een verhoogd liggend graspad (het oude kerkepad), dat thans voor een deel voorzien is van nieuwe laanbeplanting en de westelijke laan wordt gevormd door de oprijlaan. De lanen ontsluiten het omringende agrarische gebied. Vanaf 1906 werd vanuit de aangrenzende buitenplaats Salentein (sinds 1898 waren De Berencamp en Salentein in het bezit van één eigenaar) een aanleg met doorzichten gerealiseerd, waarbij het huis De Berencamp, de duiventoren, omliggende boerderijen en het tolhuisje als 'points de vue' dienen. Het driehoekige weiland waarop de duiventoren staat heeft een meidoornhaag rondom en een solitaire linde. Het weiland gelegen voor De Berencamp is voorzien van twee clumbs van Amerikaanse eik en een boomgroep (aanplant omstreeks 1930). Ook de weilanden ten noorden van het huis zijn met enkele grote clumbs ingericht; vanaf het kerkepad zichten op het huis Salentein.

Description
HISTORIC GARDEN AND PARK LAYOUT. The core of the country estate is formed by the rectangular building plot, which was originally surrounded by a moat. On the west side of the house runs the paved Hemmelerweg (drive). To the south of the house lies a rectangular layout with a utilitarian character, consisting of a standard orchard and a former kitchen garden, surrounded by an old yew hedge. Directly to the east of the house a parterre de broderie of box and a grass field with a monumental oak. Along the edge of the ornamental layout stand three worked natural stone bollards (XIX). The geometric layout of the core of the country estate is determined by several lanes around the house, of which the three parallel oak lanes (north - south) are most striking: the eastern lane disappeared in the landscape-style layout in 1906, the middle one is an elevated grass path (the old church path), which now has new lane planting for part of its length and the western lane is formed by the drive. The lanes open onto the surrounding agricultural land. From 1906 onwards, a layout with vistas was realised from the adjoining country estate Salentein (since 1898 De Berencamp and Salentein had been in the ownership of one owner), with the house De Berencamp, the dovecote, surrounding farmhouses and the toll house serving as 'points de vue'. The triangular meadow on which the dovecote stands has a hawthorn hedge around it and a solitary lime tree. The meadow in front of De Berencamp is provided with two clumps of American oak and a tree group (planted around 1930).
