Inleiding
Voormalige PASTORIE met in de zuidzijde een gevelsteen ter nagedachtenis aan diverse Aartswoudse notabelen en aan de bouwmeester G. Groen die voor het tot stand komen van de pastorie hebben zorg gedragen.
De voormalige pastorie heeft aan de parterre van de achtergevel (W) een aantal wijzigingen ondergaan ten behoeve van onder meer een garagedeur. Deze wijzigingen hebben het monumentale karakter evenwel niet geschaad.
Omschrijving
Voormalige pastorie gebouwd op een rechthoekig grondplan en bestaande uit parterre, verdieping en kapverdieping onder een flauw hellend zadeldak met de noklijn haaks op de straat. De overstekende kap is bedekt met zwarte Hollandse pannen en heeft aan beide lange zijden schoren die aan de zuidzijde nog in hun rijke vorm bewaard zijn gebleven. Aan de voorzijde (O) heeft de kap gesneden windveren.
Het muurwerk is boven een hardstenen plint opgetrokken in rode baksteen, waarbij voor de gevelgeleding en geveldecoratie gebruik is gemaakt van pleisterwerk. Het muurwerk wordt verticaal geleed door een middenrisaliet (voorzijde) en hoekpilasters. Een omgaande cordonlijst ter hoogte van de verdiepingvloer geleedt het muurwerk horizontaal.
Vrijwel alle muuropeningen voor vensters en deuren hebben een getoogde bovenzijde met gedecoreerde wenkbrauwen en zijn voorzien van schuifvensters. Onder de vensteropeningen bevindt zich een in pleisterwerk uitgevoerde decoratie. De onderdorpels zijn in natuursteen.
De symmetrische voorzijde (W) heeft een breedte van vijf vensterassen. De parterre heeft twee vensterassen aan weerszijden van de genoemde middenrisaliet, de verdieping één vensteras aan weerszijden van deze risaliet. De middenrisaliet bevat op de parterre een dubbele paneeldeur die ten opzichte van de flankerende pilasters is teruggeplaatst. Boven deze deur bevindt zich een op consoles rustend balkon met balustrade in rijk smeedwerk. Het balkon heeft een stolpdeur met glaspanelen en getoogd bovenlicht. De teruggelegen partij in de middenrisaliet wordt onder de geveltop halfrond afgesloten. In de geveltop bevindt zich een klein radvenster.
De linkerzijde (lange zijde Z) heeft op de parterre drie vensterassen op geruime onderlinge afstand. Tussen de eerste en tweede as vanaf de straat bevindt zich de eerder genoemde gevelsteen. Het muurwerk van de verdieping (boven de cordonlijst) heeft een rond venster boven de middelste vensteras.
De rechterzijde (lange zijde N) heeft rechts een paneeldeur met getoogd bovenlicht. De deur wordt bereikt via een uit twee treden bestaande stoep. Links van de deur bevindt zich een radvenster. Op de verdieping direct boven het voorgenoemde radvenster bevindt zich een gelijkvormig radvenster. Rechts van dit venster, vlak onder de kap, bevindt zich een klein vierkant éénlichtsvenster.
De achterzijde (W) heeft op de verdieping een centraal geplaatst venster. Aan weerszijden van dit venster bevindt zich een radvenster.
Waardering
De voormalige pastorie is van algemeen belang wegens architectuur- en cultuurhistorische waarde als historisch-functioneel hoofdonderdeel van het pastoriecomplex nabij de Ned. Hervormde Kerk.

The former rectory has undergone a number of alterations on the ground floor of the rear facade (W) for, among other things, a garage door. These alterations have not, however, damaged the monumental character.
Description
Former rectory built on a rectangular ground plan and consisting of ground floor, first floor and roof-truss storey under a gently sloping gabled roof with the ridge line at right angles to the street. The overhanging roof is covered with black Dutch tiles and has supports on both long sides which have been preserved in their rich form on the south side. On the front (E) the roof has carved wind braces.
The masonry above a stone plinth is built in red brick, with plasterwork used for the gable articulation and decoration. The masonry is articulated vertically by a central projection (front) and corner pilasters. An encircling string course at the height of the first-floor level articulates the masonry horizontally.
Virtually all wall openings for windows and doors have an arched top with decorated eyebrows and are fitted with sash windows. Below the window openings is a decoration executed in plasterwork. The window sills are in natural stone.
The symmetrical front (W) has a width of five window bays. The ground floor has two window bays on either side of the said central projection; the first floor has one window bay on either side of this projection. The central projection contains on the ground floor a double panel door which is set back in relation to the flanking pilasters. Above this door is a balcony resting on consoles with a balustrade in rich wrought ironwork. The balcony has a panel door with glass panels and arched fanlight. The recessed section in the central projection is rounded off under the gable top. In the gable top is a small radial window.
The left side (long side S) has on the ground floor three window bays at considerable distances from each other. Between the first and second bay from the street is the facade stone mentioned above. The masonry of the first floor (above the string course) has a round window above the middle window bay.
The right side (long side N) has on the right a panel door with arched fanlight. The door is reached via a step consisting of two treads. To the left of the door is a radial window. On the first floor directly above the aforementioned radial window is a similar radial window. To the right of this window, just below the roof, is a small square single-light window.
The rear (W) has on the first floor a centrally placed window. On either side of this window is a radial window.
Valuation
The former rectory is of general importance for its architectural and cultural-historical value as a historically-functional main component of the rectory complex near the Dutch Reformed Church.
