Omschrijving
ORANJERIE behorende tot de buitenplaats Groot Engelenburg. Aan de zuidzijde van het voorplein als pendant van het koetshuis staat een 19de-eeuwse witgepleisterde oranjerie (ca.1860) naar ontwerp van S.A. van Lunteren. De oranjerie is thans (1997) in gebruik als hotelaccommodatie. Het op rechthoekige grondslag opgetrokken pand bestaat uit één bouwlaag onder een met Oud-Hollandse pannen gedekt schilddak. De voorgevel kent een regelmatige gevelindeling met centraal de dubbele glazen inrijdeur geflankeerd door drie traveeën bestaande uit een deur met bovenlicht en twee meerruitsvensters. De vensters en deuren zijn gevat in een omlijsting met Ionische pilasters en hoofdgestellen. In het dakschild zijn drie dakkapellen met segmentvormig fronton en wangen. De achtergevel is voorzien van grote raampartijen met dubbele meerruitsdeuren en segmentvormige bovenlichten met halfronde roedenverdeling. INWENDIG een bijzondere kapconstructie met een halfrond opgewerkt deel, zodat aan de zuidzijde een hoge ruimte ontstond.

Description
ORANGERY belonging to the country estate Groot Engelenburg. On the south side of the forecourt as a pendant to the coach house stands a 19th-century whitewashed orangery (ca.1860) designed by S.A. van Lunteren. The orangery is currently (1997) in use as hotel accommodation. The building erected on a rectangular ground plan consists of one storey under a hipped roof covered with Old Dutch tiles. The front facade has a regular facade division with centrally a double glazed carriage entrance flanked by three bays consisting of a door with fanlight and two multi-pane windows. The windows and doors are set in a surround with Ionic pilasters and cornices. In the roof hip are three roof gables with segmental pediments and cheeks. The rear facade is provided with large window areas with double multi-pane doors and segmental fanlights with semicircular glazing bars. INTERNALLY a special roof truss structure with a semicircular worked section, such that a high space was created on the south side.
