Inleiding
Ter linkerzijde van de St.-Laurentiuskerk gesitueerde PASTORIE daterend uit 1871-1873 naar ontwerp van E.J. Margry in neo-renaissancistische bouwstijl.

In baksteen opgetrokken pastorie op hardstenen plint bestaande uit een begane grond, verdieping en een kapverdieping op nagenoeg vierkante grondslag onder twee gekoppelde door maasleien gedekte zadeldaken met kleine steekkap boven de middenrisaliet van de voorgevel. Symmetrisch ingedeelde voorgevel ter breedte van drie traveeën met een risalerende middentravee, bekroond door tuitgevel, waar zich de hoofdingang bevindt. De gevels worden geleed door enkele en samengestelde tweeledige schuifvensters met glas-in-lood bovenlichten onder een decoratieve segmentboog en verlevendigd door siermetselwerk, met kleine rondbooglisenen in de tuitgevel, en gepleisterde speklagen, hardstenen cordonlijsten, lekdorpels en kraagstenen. Rondboogentree, geflankeerd door slanke zuiltjes, met siermetselwerk waarin dubbele houten paneeldeur met bovenlicht is opgenomen. Rechts in de voorgevel een klein keldervenster. De achtergevel en de zijgevels, die voorzien zijn van tuitgevels, zijn eenvoudiger, maar in stijl uitgevoerd. Achtergevel van eenlaags aanbouw gewijzigd. Het inwendige van de pastorie verkeert nagenoeg in de oorspronkelijke staat met onder meer een hal met marmeren vloer.

Pastorie uit 1871-1873 van architect E.J. Margry is van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuur- en cultuurhistorische waarden alsmede de ensemblewaarde als historisch-functioneel onderdeel van het kerkelijk complex. Voorts heeft de pastorie situationele waarde wegens de beeldbepalende ligging in de kern van Stompwijk.

Description
Parsonage constructed in brick on a hardstone plinth consisting of a ground floor, first floor and a mansard storey on an almost square ground plan beneath two coupled gabled roofs covered with Maas slate with a small roof-light above the central projection of the front facade. Symmetrically arranged front facade measuring three bays in width with a projecting central bay, topped by a spout gable, where the main entrance is located. The facades are articulated by single and composite two-part sash windows with stained-glass fanlights beneath a decorative segmental arch and enlivened by decorative brickwork, with small round-arch mouldings in the spout gable, and plastered speck-courses, hardstone string courses, drip mouldings and brackets. Semicircular entrance, flanked by slender colonnettes, with decorative brickwork in which a double wooden panelled door with fanlight is set. To the right in the front facade a small basement window. The rear facade and the side facades, which are provided with spout gables, are simpler in execution but in keeping with the style. Rear facade of single-storey extension altered. The interior of the parsonage is in nearly original condition with among other things a hall with marble floor.
Valuation
Parsonage from 1871-1873 by architect E.J. Margry is of general importance because of its architectural and cultural historical values as well as its ensemble value as a historic-functional component of the ecclesiastical complex. Furthermore the parsonage has situational value because of its distinctive location in the centre of Stompwijk.
