PIEDESTAL. Aan weerszijden van de oprijlaan aan de Voorsterweg staat een natuurstenen rechthoekige piëdestal met eenvoudige profilering uit het eind van de 19de eeuw. Deze dragen het opschrift 'huis' 'Empe'. Oorspronkelijk waren de sokkels bekroond door een beeldje van een leeuw.

PIEDESTAL van algemeen belang:
- als markering van de toegang tot 't Huis Empe;
- als karakteristiek onderdeel van de buitenplaats;
- vanwege de ensemblewaarde.

PEDESTAL. On either side of the drive on the Voorsterweg stands a natural stone rectangular pedestal with simple moulding from the end of the 19th century. These bear the inscription 'huis' 'Empe'. Originally the pedestals were crowned by a statue of a lion.
