Inleiding
Houten SCHUUR van onbekend bouwjaar buitendijks gebouwd tegen de kruin van de Lekdijk. De schuur, opgetrokken in Traditioneel Ambachtelijke bouwtrant, wordt tegenwoordig gebruikt als dijkmagazijn.
Omschrijving
Schuur met gepotdekselde geteerde wanden op een bakstenen fundament onder een rietgedekt schilddak met een aan de achterzijde iets geknikt en verlengd dakschild. In de voorgevel is een dubbele rechtgesloten deur met ijzer beslag geplaatst en daarboven een luik onder een opgelicht dakschild. Naast de deur en in de achter en zijgevels zijn grote staande ventilatieroosters geplaatst.

De houten schuur is cultuurhistorisch van algemeen belang als voorbeeld van een eenvoudige houten dijkschuur.
De schuur is architectuurhistorisch van algemeen belang als representatief typologisch en inmiddels zeldzaam geworden voorbeeld van een dijkschuur gebouwd in Traditioneel Ambachtelijke bouwtrant. De schuur is gaaf in hoofdvorm, materiaalgebruik en detaillering.

Barn with pantile-roofed tarred walls on a brick foundation beneath a reed-thatched hipped roof with a roof slope that is slightly bent and extended at the rear. In the front facade is a double straight-edged door with iron fittings, and above it a hatch under a raised roof slope. Beside the door and in the rear and side facades are large vertical ventilation grilles.
