Inleiding
STOLPBOERDERIJ van een afgeleid Noordhollands type, gelegen aan de noordwestzijde van het Dorpsplein te Callantsoog. De boerderij is één van de laatste duinboerderijen van Noord-Holland. In kern dateert de boerderij uit omstreeks 1800. Het huidige aanzien wordt bepaald door muurwerk en een gevelindeling met T-vensters uit de tweede helft van de 19de eeuw. Het muurwerk van de achtergevel en van de schoorstenen is na 1945 vernieuwd. Anno 1995 is in de boerderij een historische vereniging gevestigd.
Omschrijving
Op rechthoekig grondplan gebouwde kleine stolpboerderij onder rietgedekt schilddak met noklijn evenwijdig aan het Dorpsplein. De kap is onbeschoten. Op de nok zijn vorstpannen aangebracht. De dakschilden aan de voor- en achterzijde worden doorsneden door een vierkante bakstenen schoorsteen. Het pand is ten dele onderkelderd.
De houten draagconstructie van de boerderij bestaat uit een enkel vierkant, waarin veel strandhout is gebruikt. De woning bevindt zich aan de zuidoostzijde van het vierkant (pleinzijde), de dars aan de noordoostzijde, de stallen aan de noordwest- en zuidwestzijde van het vierkant. Het muurwerk is opgetrokken in rode baksteen boven een deels uitgemetselde, deels gecementeerde plint. Op diverse plaatsen in het muurwerk zijn staafankers zichtbaar. Onder de aanzet van het riet is een lijst van rondomlopende planken aangebracht.
De voorgevel (ZO) heeft drie vensterassen met een rechthoekig houten T-venster met schuifraam, houten lekdorpel en luik(en). Geheel rechts bevindt zich de teruggeplaatste dubbele opgeklampte darsdeur. De rechterhoek van de voorgevel is verstevigd met een steunbeer. De rechterzijgevel (NO) bevat een hooggeplaatst rechthoekig houten vierruits-venster en een rechthoekige houten deur, waarachter zich in oorsprong een paardestal bevond.
De achtergevel (NW) bevat een hooggeplaatst rechthoekig vierruits-venster, een zesruits-schuifvenster met luiken en een rechthoekige houten deur met drieruits-bovenlicht.
De linkerzijgevel (ZW) heeft een zesruits-schuifvenster en een klein hooggeplaatst venster.
Waardering
De in streek-eigen bouwtrant uitgevoerde stolpboerderij is van algemeen belang uit cultuur- en architectuurhistorisch oogpunt als merendeels gaaf bewaard gebleven voorbeeld van agrarische bouwkunst uit de tweede helft van de 19de eeuw in Noord-Holland. STOLP FARMHOUSE of a derived North Holland type, located on the northwest side of the Dorpsplein at Callantsoog. The farmhouse is one of the last dune farmhouses of North Holland. In its core the farmhouse dates from around 1800. Its current appearance is determined by masonry and a facade division with T-windows from the second half of the 19th century. The masonry of the rear facade and of the chimneys was renewed after 1945. In 1995 a historical association was established in the farmhouse.
Description
Small stolp farmhouse built on a rectangular ground plan under reed-thatched hipped roof with ridge parallel to the Dorpsplein. The roof is unboarded. Frost tiles are placed on the ridge. The roof slopes on the front and rear sides are cut through by a square brick chimney. The building is partially cellared.
The wooden load-bearing structure of the farmhouse consists of a single square frame, in which much driftwood has been used. The dwelling is located on the southeast side of the frame (village square side), the threshing floor on the northeast side, the stalls on the northwest and southwest sides of the frame. The masonry is built in red brick above a partly rendered and partly cemented plinth. Staff wall anchors are visible in various places in the masonry. Under the eaves of the thatch a list of continuous planks has been placed.
The front facade (SE) has three window bays with a rectangular wooden T-window with sash frame, wooden drip moulding and shutter(s). At the far right is the set-back double clamped threshing floor door. The right corner of the front facade is reinforced with a buttress. The right side facade (NE) contains a high-placed rectangular wooden four-pane window and a rectangular wooden door, behind which there was originally a horse stable.
The rear facade (NW) contains a high-placed rectangular four-pane window, a six-pane sash window with shutters and a rectangular wooden door with three-pane fanlight.
The left side facade (SW) has a six-pane sash window and a small high-placed window.
Valuation
The stolp farmhouse executed in regional building tradition is of general importance from a cultural and architectural historical perspective as a largely well-preserved example of agricultural architecture from the second half of the 19th century in North Holland. Furthermore, the farmhouse has scarcity value as one of the last preserved dune farmhouses in North Holland.
