Omschrijving
STUW uit 1921 gelegen in de Baakse Beek te westen van het huis De Wiersse. De stuw is uit beton en ijzeren onderdelen opgetrokken, is ondermeer voorzien van een houten brug en van in hoogte verstelbare schuiven. Middels deze schuiven kan het peil van het water in de beek, vijvers en grachten geregeld worden. De stuw vervangt een houten stuw en is de opvolger van de stuw bij de voormalige watermolen. Ter verlenging van de betonnen wanden stroomopwaarts, is een beschoeiing van larixpalen en planken aangebracht.
De STUW behorende tot de historische buitenplaats De Wiersse is van algemeen belang:
- vanwege de ouderdom;
- vanwege de eenvoudige, functionele vormgeving;
- als karakteristieke element van de waterhuishouding van de buitenplaats;

Description
WEIR from 1921 located in the Baakse Beek to the west of the house De Wiersse. The weir is constructed from concrete and iron components, and is provided among other things with a wooden bridge and height-adjustable sluices. By means of these sluices the water level in the stream, ponds and ditches can be regulated. The weir replaces a wooden weir and is the successor to the weir at the former watermill. To extend the concrete walls upstream, a revetment of larch posts and planks has been constructed.
