Omschrijving
Lange, flauw S-vormige CHARMILLE uit ca. 1922, thans (1996) begroeid met Fagus Sylvatica, gelegen ten westen van de zgn. "tennistuin". Bij de charmille ligt een rond stenen KOMMETJE (met een binnen- en buitenrand van baksteen waartussen bakstenen scheidingen zitten en waarin o.a. hosta's en varens groeien) en een fontein. Het kommetje wordt van water voorzien door de drukketel in het bouwhuis, waarbij gebruik wordt gemaakt van een eigen bron. De kom accentueert het begin van de uit vier delen bestaande charmille, die ca. 60 meter lang is, uit 28 bogen bestaat en vanaf de kom naar de "tennistuin" loopt. Toen omstreeks 1970 de aldaar gelegen tennisbaan werd verwijderd, werd het bestaande gedeelte van de charmille doorgetrokken en kreeg de huidige lengte. Ten westen van de kom staat een korte (4 bogen) gebogen charmille. Ten zuiden en noorden staan 2 bogen, met onder het zuidelijke deel een houten, groen geschilderde TUINBANK met in de rugleuning een hartje. Deze bank werd in 1913 voor de rozentuin gemaakt. Naast het prieel in de "tennistuin" staan vervolgens nog eens 2 bogen. De charmille is opgebouwd uit regelmatig van elkaar geplaatste in de grond verzonken betonnen voeten waarop ijzeren T-profiel-bogen rusten. De bogen zijn onderling verbonden met stevige ijzeren L-staafjes, buizen en draden.
De CHARMILLE MET KOMMETJE EN TUINBANK behorende tot de buitenplaats De Wiersse zijn van algemeen belang:
- vanwege de ouderdom;
- vanwege de bijzondere vormgeving van de charmille;

Description
Long, gently S-shaped PLEACHED ALLEY from ca. 1922, now (1996) grown with Fagus Sylvatica, located to the west of the so-called "tennis garden". At the pleached alley stands a round stone BOWL (with an inner and outer rim of brick between which brick divisions sit and in which amongst others hostas and ferns grow) and a fountain. The bowl is supplied with water by the pressure vessel in the garden house, using a private spring. The bowl marks the beginning of the pleached alley consisting of four sections, which is ca. 60 metres long, consists of 28 arches and runs from the bowl towards the "tennis garden". When the tennis court located there was removed around 1970, the existing section of the pleached alley was extended and achieved its present length. To the west of the bowl stands a short (4 arches) curved pleached alley. To the south and north stand 2 arches, with below the southern section a wooden, green-painted GARDEN BENCH with a small heart in the backrest. This bench was made in 1913 for the rose garden. Next to the summerhouse in the "tennis garden" stand another 2 arches. The pleached alley is built up from regularly spaced concrete feet sunk into the ground on which iron T-profile arches rest. The arches are interconnected with sturdy iron L-bars, tubes and wires.
