Omschrijving
Twee 18de-eeuwse natuurstenen STOEPPALEN, waarvan de achterzijde onbewerkt is en de voorzijde van band- en acanthusbladmotieven is voorzien. De stoeppalen zijn afkomstig van het huis van Victor de Stuers in de Brusselsestraat in Maastricht en kort na de Tweede Wereldoorlog verwijderd in opdracht van de gemeente Maastricht, naar De Wiersse gebracht en in de tuinaanleg opgenomen. Thans (1996) flankeren beide stoeppalen een pad ten westen van de "lage tuin", leidend van de pergola naar de "lindentuin", in de as van het bouwhuis.
De STOEPPALEN behorende tot de buitenplaats De Wiersse zijn van algemeen belang:

Description
Two 18th-century natural stone BOLLARDS, the back of which is unworked and the front of which is provided with band and acanthus leaf motifs. The bollards are from the house of Victor de Stuers in the Brusselsestraat in Maastricht and were removed shortly after the Second World War at the instruction of the municipality of Maastricht, brought to De Wiersse and incorporated into the garden layout. Now (1996) both bollards flank a path to the west of the "lower garden", leading from the pergola to the "linden garden", in the axis of the main building.
