Omschrijving
Het uit ca. 1921 daterende TOEGANGSHEK dat halverwege de in 1907 weer rechtgetrokken oprijlaan staat, wordt gevormd door vier bakstenen pijlers op vierkante grondslag, de buitenste twee hebben een kleiner volume. De pijlers zijn voorzien van verdiepte velden en worden afgedekt door geprofileerde natuurstenen dekplaten. Op de middelste pijlers staan twee natuurstenen 18de-eeuwse vazen. Tussen de pijlers bevinden zich smeedijzeren hekken en centraal bevinden zich twee getoogde, draaibare smeedijzeren vleugels die voorzien zijn van stijlen, regels en voluten aan de bovenzijde. Het geheel staat achter twee, uitzwenkende rood bakstenen keermuren waartussen een massieve brug met tongewelf.
Het TOEGANGSHEK aan de oprijlaan behorende tot de historische buitenplaats De Wiersse is van algemeen belang:

Description
The ENTRANCE GATE dating from ca. 1921 standing midway along the drive, which was straightened again in 1907, is formed by four brick pillars on a square plan, the outer two are of smaller volume. The pillars are provided with recessed panels and are topped with moulded natural stone coping plates. On the middle pillars stand two natural stone 18th-century vases. Between the pillars there are wrought-iron gates and centrally there are two arched, swinging wrought-iron gates provided with stiles, rails and volutes at the top. The whole stands behind two, outswinging red brick retaining walls between which a massive bridge with barrel vault.
The ENTRANCE GATE on the drive forming part of the historic country estate De Wiersse is of general importance:

- on account of its architectural design;
- as a characteristic marking point of an entrance to the forecourt of the country estate;
- on account of the functional-spatial relationship with the other components of the country estate.
