Inleiding
De BOERDERIJ met een monumentaal dwarsgeplaatst woonhuis werd gebouwd rond 1850 in Traditioneel Ambachtelijke stijl. Het erf is omgeven door sloten en is deels beplant met hoogstam fruitbomen. De boerderij staat met het woonhuisdeel evenwijdig, teruggerooid van de weg. De overige erfbebouwing is voor bescherming van ondergeschikt belang. N.B. In 1997 is het achterste gedeelte van de oostgevel (bij de stal) en de zuidgevel vernieuwd.
Omschrijving
Deels onderkelderde boerderij vanaf een T-vormige plattegrond opgetrokken in gele ijsselsteen in kruisverband met knipvoeg. Het dwarsgeplaatste zadeldak van het woonhuis is gedekt met gesmoorde Hollandse pannen. Boven het stalgedeelte is het zadeldak met riet gedekt. Symmetrische voorgevel (noord) met centraal geplaatste entree onder een bovenlicht voorzien van een levensboom binnen een houten pilasteromlijsting. Aan weerszijden twee zesruits beluikte vensters. De gevel wordt afgesloten door een kroonlijst. Centraal boven de gevel is een dakkapel geplaatst met twee vierruits vensters binnen een houten omlijsting met pilasters. In de linker kopse tuitgevel (oost) is op de begane grond een zesruits venster en een keldervenster met luiken geplaatst. Ter plaatse van de zolderverdieping bevinden zich twee vierruitsvensters. De langsgevel van het staldeel heeft aan deze zijde twee zesruits vensters, een staldeur en segmentboogvormige stalvensters. De rechter zijgevel (west) is identiek ingedeeld. De achtergevel (zuid) is vernieuwd.
Het interieur van het woonhuisgedeelte bezit de oorspronkelijke indeling met woonvertrekken aan weerszijden van de hal die met marmer is uitgelegd en voorzien is van een gemarmerde lambrisering. Rechts een woonvertrek met marmeren schouw en voormalige bedsteden, links een woonvertrek met marmeren schouw. De keuken is grotendeels betegeld met witte tegels. De schouw is versierd met een polychroom tegeltableau met een voorstelling van een stadspoort. In de voormalige kaasmakerijruimte eveneens witte tegels en polychrome tegeltableaus (voorstellende man met paard; boerin met koe; vogel in kooi; bloemmotieven). In de voormalige kaasopslagruimte een plint van Delftsblauwe tegels met kleine voorstellingen. In de kelder zijn pekelbakken voor het pekelen van kaas aanwezig.

De boerderij is van algemeen belang wegens de cultuurhistorische waarde als typologisch voorbeeld van een dwarshuisboerderij. De boerderij is tevens van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuurhistorische waarde wegens de Traditioneel Ambachtelijke bouwstijl en de monumentale verschijningsvorm. De boerderij is gaaf in hoofdvorm, materiaalgebruik en detaillering. Het woonhuisdeel heeft een oorspronkelijke indeling en bezit enkele bijzondere interieuronderdelen zoals tegeltableaus en marmeren schouwen. The FARMSTEAD with a monumental transversely-placed dwelling house was built around 1850 in Traditional Craft style. The farmyard is surrounded by ditches and is partly planted with standard fruit trees. The farmstead stands with the dwelling-house part parallel, set back from the road. The remaining farmyard buildings are of subordinate importance for protection. N.B. In 1997 the rear part of the east gable (at the barn) and the south gable were renewed.
Description
Partially cellared farmstead from a T-shaped ground plan constructed in yellow IJssel stone in cross bond with relief pointing. The transversely-placed gabled roof of the dwelling house is covered with ridged Dutch tiles. Above the barn section the gabled roof is covered with thatch. Symmetrical front facade (north) with centrally-placed entrance under a fanlight provided with a lebensbaum within a wooden pilaster frame. On either side two six-pane shuttered windows. The gable is terminated by a cornice. Centrally above the gable is a roof dormer placed with two four-pane windows within a wooden frame with pilasters. In the left copy spout gable (east) a six-pane window and a cellar window with shutters are placed on the ground floor. At the level of the attic storey there are two four-pane windows. The side gable of the barn section has two six-pane windows on this side, a barn door and segmental arch barn windows. The right side gable (west) is identically arranged. The rear gable (south) is renewed.
The interior of the dwelling-house section retains the original layout with living rooms on either side of the hallway which is fitted with marble and provided with a marbled dado. On the right a living room with marble chimney and former bedsteads, on the left a living room with marble chimney. The kitchen is largely tiled with white tiles. The chimney is decorated with a polychrome tile tableau depicting a city gate. In the former cheese-making room likewise white tiles and polychrome tile tableaux (depicting a man with horse; peasant woman with cow; bird in cage; floral motifs). In the former cheese storage room a skirting of Delft-blue tiles with small depictions. In the cellar are brine tubs for the brining of cheese present.
