Inleiding
GARAGE, behorende tot het complex "De Merelhof" en gesitueerd aan de noordwestzijde van het landhuis en gebouwd in 1935 naar het ontwerp van Th. Rueter in de Gooise landhuisstijl. De garage is vrijstaand en iets terugliggend gelegen aan de noordoostzijde van de Dr. Catzlaan te Blaricum.
Omschrijving
De garage, opgetrokken in rode baksteen en hout op een L-vormige plattegrond, bestaat uit een bouwlaag onder rieten dak, gedeeltelijk met de noklijn haaks op de weg en evenwijdig aan de weg. De vensters hebben een roedenverdeling.
De dubbele houten getoogde garagedeur aan de voorzijde (ZW) is gevat in een decoratief uitgevoerd kozijn.
De rechter zijgevel (ZO) bevat in het bakstenen gedeelte een tweedelig venster en een deur. De deur bevindt zich ter hoogte van het haaks geplaatste gedeelte, zodat deze topgevel een uitsparing kent. De zuidoostgevel van het haaks geplaatste gedeelte is uitgevoerd in hout, ter hoogte van de begane grond in gepotdekselde delen, ter hoogte van de zolder in vertikale delen.
