Douanekantoor, gebouwd rond 1900 in overgangsarchitectuur en gelegen aan de kop van het Kanaal van Brugge naar Sluis.
Omschrijving
Douanekantoor op rechthoekige plattegrond met uitbouwen aan de achterzijde, opgetrokken in rode baksteen en één bouwlaag en een kap hoog. Banden in metselwerk zijn geaccentueerd door rood geverfde voegen.
De voorgevel aan de Kaai bevat geheel links en geheel rechts een sobere houten deur met bovenlicht met roedeverdeling en daartussenin drie stel houten vensters met roedeverdeling in de bovenramen en in het middelste raam twee middenstijlen. Het overkragende dak met mastgoot wordt ondersteund door een houten schoorconstructie.
De westelijke kopgevel is voorzien van enkele kleine ramen met roedeverdeling en een overkragend dak met mastgoot, ondersteund door een houten schoorconstructie.
De achtergevel bevat uitbouwen onder een aankapping, voorzien van bakgoten op de muur, deur met bovenlicht en diverse houten vensters.
De oostelijke gevel is een puntgevel.
Het zadeldak heeft aan de westzijde een schild en is deels gedekt met rode leipannen en deels met grijs-zwarte tuile du nord. Op de nok een bakstenen schoorsteen met siermetselwerk en twee kleine zadeldak-afsluitingen.

Customs house on rectangular floor plan with outbuildings at the rear, constructed in red brick and one storey and a roof high. Bands in brickwork are accentuated by red painted joints.
The front facade on the Quay contains entirely on the left and entirely on the right a simple wooden door with fanlight with glazing bars and in between three sets of wooden windows with glazing bars in the upper sashes and in the middle sash two mullions. The projecting roof with master gutter is supported by a wooden post construction.
The western end facade is provided with some small windows with glazing bars and a projecting roof with master gutter, supported by a wooden post construction.
The rear facade contains outbuildings under an overhang, provided with gutters on the wall, door with fanlight and various wooden windows.
The eastern facade is a pointed gable.
The saddle roof has a hip on the west side and is partly covered with red slate tiles and partly with grey-black tuile du nord. On the ridge a brick chimney with ornamental brickwork and two small saddle roof-closures.
