Introduction

This townhouse forms part of a row of late-19th-century townhouses in eclectic style, which together form part of the closed facade built in the seventies of the 19th century on the demolished city walls. The rear of the dwellings border on the city moat and the grounds of the villa Rams Woerthe. The buildings comprise two storeys above a basement, separated by string courses and are covered by a hipped roof. The facades have arched window openings and are terminated by a cornice.

Townhouse with plastered plinth, corner pilasters with diamond heads and facade accents of lime sandstone. Entrance with non-original door in portico, windows beneath stretches with shutting stone and a wooden roof dormer. Tile-covered hipped roof. The interior is only partly in original condition. The original panelled doors with profile mouldings are largely preserved. In the hallway is the only remaining decoration executed in stucco work, as well as the original marble floor tiles. The staircase to the first floor is provided with a heavy wooden newel post and cast-iron stringers and in the stairwell and toilet are cast-iron rose windows.

The building forms part of an intact late 19th-century facade with buildings in eclectic style.
