Inleiding
Herenhuis op hoek van Loskade en Goese Korenmarkt, gebouwd rond 1893 in Neo-Renaissance stijl.
Losstaande schuur/garage valt buiten de bescherming.
Omschrijving
Herenhuis van twee verdiepingen met een mezzanino, een kelder en een zolderverdieping, op min of meer rechthoekige plattegrond; afgeschuinde hoekpartij met ingang en uitkragende erker op verdiepingen. Gevels in roodbruine baksteen met gepleisterde plint, speklagen, banden, raamomlijstingen, deuromlijstingen. Schilddak met plat, gedekt met gesmoorde tuile du nord.
Zuidgevel drie traveeën breed met forse rustica-achtige plint bij kelderverdieping; begane grond met per travee een rondboogvensters met houten kozijnen met schuiframen; rijke raamomlijsting en tegeltableaux onder de vensters. Cordonlijst met daarboven verdiepingramen: drie houten kozijnen met schuiframen; onder deze vensters gekleurde tegeltableaux met griekse taferelen; ieder venster bekroond met een fronton.
Daarboven drie liggende vensters met middenstijl. Sobere gootlijst met kleine consoles.
Afgeschuinde hoek met trapje naar ingangspartij met rijke classicistische omlijsting en in nis zeer rijke in classicistische stijl uitgesneden, houten, dubbele deur met onder meer pilasters en frontons. Boven ingang een rond venster in gepleisterde omlijsting met voluten. Op verdiepingen houten, uitkragende erker, trapsgewijs verjongend tot een open bekroning met windroos; daken met zinken bekleding. Westgevel zelfde opbouw als zuidgevel, maar dan twee traveeën breed. Links van deze gevel een poort met rondboog, in zelfde uitvoering als rondboogvensters. Achtergevel (noord) in sober pleisterwerk.
Rijk interieur uit het eind van de 19e eeuw met onder meer originele voorhal met trapje met zijpilaren bekroond door vazen, klassicistische deuromlijsting, houten bankje; stucplafonds in voorhal, op hoofdverdieping, eerste verdieping; diverse originele schouwen.
Waardering
Hoekpand met zowel ex- als interieur van cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde. Van belang vanwege ensemblewaardenen gaafheid.

Mansion of two storeys with a mezzanine, a basement and an attic storey, on a more or less rectangular plan; chamfered corner section with entrance and projecting bay on storeys. Facades in reddish-brown brick with plastered plinth, speckled courses, bands, window framings, door framings. Hipped roof with flat section, covered with smoked tuile du nord.
South facade three bays wide with substantial rusticated-like plinth at basement storey; ground floor with per bay a round-arched window with wooden sash windows; rich window framing and tile tableaux beneath the windows. Band course with above it storey windows: three wooden sash windows; beneath these windows coloured tile tableaux with Greek scenes; each window crowned with a pediment.
Above three horizontal windows with central mullion. Sober drip moulding with small consoles.
Chamfered corner with steps to entrance section with rich classical framing and in niche very richly carved in classical style, wooden, double door with among others pilasters and pediments. Above entrance a round window in plastered framing with volutes. On storeys wooden, projecting bay, tapering in steps to an open crown with weathervane; roofs with zinc cladding. West facade same structure as south facade, but then two bays wide. To the left of this facade a gateway with round arch, in same execution as round-arched windows. Rear facade (north) in sober plasterwork.
Rich interior from the end of the 19th century with among others original entrance hall with steps with side pilasters crowned by vases, classical door framing, wooden bench; stucco ceilings in entrance hall, on principal storey, first storey; various original fireplaces.
Valuation
Corner building with both exterior and interior of cultural and architectural historical value. Of significance because of ensemble value and integrity.
