TUINBEELD. In het park (Engelse Werk) staande zandstenen beeldengroep uit 1712 voorstellende 'De roof van Persephone door Hades' toegeschreven aan de beeldhouwer Jan Pieter van Bauerscheit de Oude. Staande op een hoge hardstenen sokkel waarop wapens met vrouwenvoorstellingen en cartouches gebeeldhouwd zijn. Op de voorzijde van de sokkel staat de inscriptie 'Ao 1712'. Het beeld is afkomstig van Boom en Bosch.

Description
GARDEN SCULPTURE. Standing in the park (Engelse Werk) a sandstone sculptural group from 1712 depicting 'The Abduction of Persephone by Hades' attributed to the sculptor Jan Pieter van Bauerscheit the Elder. Standing on a high limestone plinth on which arms with female representations and cartouches are sculptured. On the front of the plinth is the inscription 'Ao 1712'. The sculpture originates from Boom en Bosch.
