KEERMUUR. Rondom het voorplein een zeventiende-eeuwse rode bakstenen keermuur met Y-vormige muurankers bekroond door een gemetselde ezelsrug. De keermuur vormt voor een deel het basement van de bouwhuizen en dient tevens ter ondersteuning van beide bruggen.

- vanwege de ouderdom;
- als typisch voorbeeld van een 17de-eeuwse keermuur van een omgracht voorplein van een kasteel;

RETAINING WALL. Around the forecourt a seventeenth-century red brick retaining wall with Y-shaped wall anchors topped by a brick coping. The retaining wall forms part of the basement of the building houses and also serves to support both bridges.
