Omschrijving
ZUIDELIJK BOUWHUIS. Op rechthoekige grondslag opgetrokken zeventiende-eeuws bakstenen bouwhuis van één bouwlaag onder een met Oud-Hollandse pannen gedekt schilddak. Op de nok een vierkant gemetselde schoorsteen. Het bouwhuis sluit het voorplein aan de zuidzijde af en vormt als zodanig het pendant van het noordelijk bouwhuis. De achtergevel (zuid) en de kopgevel (oost) rijzen direct uit de gracht op. Symmetrisch ingedeelde voorgevel met drie houten toegangsdeuren en zes tweeruitsvensters op de verdieping. In het midden van de gevel een dakkapel, die deels de lijstgevel onderbreekt. In de kopgevel aan de westkant een groot zestienruitsvenster met luiken, aan de oostkant een meerruitsvenster. In het midden van de negentiende eeuw werd het bouwhuis als oranjerie in gebruik genomen, waarvoor naar ontwerp van J.A. van Lunteren in de achtergevel zes grote gietijzeren vensters werden aangebracht (1852/53). Bij de verbouwing tot woonhuis in 1955 werden deze vensters vervangen door meerruitsvensters. In het dakschild twee dakkapellen.

Description
SOUTHERN BUILDING HOUSE. A seventeenth-century brick building house constructed on a rectangular ground plan, comprising one storey under a hipped roof covered with Old Dutch tiles. On the ridge a square brick chimney. The building house closes off the forecourt on the south side and as such forms the counterpart to the northern building house. The rear gable (south) and the end gable (east) rise directly from the moat. Symmetrically arranged front facade with three wooden entrance doors and six two-pane windows on the upper storey. In the centre of the facade a roof dormer which partly interrupts the cornice-topped facade. In the end gable on the west side a large sixteen-pane window with shutters, on the east side a multi-pane window. In the middle of the nineteenth century the building house was used as an orangery, for which six large cast-iron windows were installed in the rear gable according to a design by J.A. van Lunteren (1852/53). During the conversion to a residential house in 1955 these windows were replaced by multi-pane windows. In the roof two roof dormers.
