HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG.
Deels in structuur en deels in detail bewaard kleinschalige historische tuinaanleg in landschapsstijl daterend uit het midden van de negentiende eeuw.
Deze is grotendeels als lusthof en gedeeltelijk als tuin- en bollengrond in gebruik. Het teelt- annex bollenlandje aan de oostzijde is een laatste restant van de achttiende-eeuwse grootschalige aanleg voor de kruiden- en bollenteelt. De aanleg in landschapsstijl is besloten van opzet. Gebogen lijnen zijn kenmerkend voor de gehele tuinaanleg.
Aan de voorzijde wordt de buitenplaats begrensd door een oude grenssloot, parallel lopend aan de Gooweg. Een strook hakhout schermt het huis van de weg af. Langs deze grenssloot loopt een laan van beuken en eiken die een verbinding vormt tussen Calorama aan de zuidkant van het terrein en het koetshuis aan de noordkant.
Aan de achterzijde wordt het park beëindigt door een duinwal, waarop een slingerwandeling is aangelegd die een markant onderdeel van de tuinaanleg vormt.
Recht voor het huis ligt een tuingedeelte met rhododendronaanplant rondom een ronde vijver. Deze aanleg dateert van na het jaar 1842 toen de Gooweg met een bocht om het huis werd gelegd.
Op het gazon staat een zonnewijzer op een geprofileerde hardstenen pijler. Op het gazon naast het huis staat een solitair (lindestoel).
Achter het huis een bospartij met een slingeraanleg van wandelpaadjes tussen de opgeworpen wallen, waartussen perceeltjes teelland liggen verspreid. Binnen deze aanleg is een sier- en moestuin opgenomen.
Het rosarium is aangelegd in een halve maanvorm. Deze wordt in het midden door sneden door een dwarsas bestaande uit een rozenberceau. Het einde van één kant van de berceau wordt gevormd door een solitair staande naaldboom, waar een halfronde buxushaag omheen staat. Naast de rozentuin en achter de tuinmuur ligt de oude moestuin, nu bestaande uit een perceel grasland waarop twee schuren zijn gebouwd. Een ander karakteristiek element van de aanleg is het seringenlaantje. De noordgrens van de tuinaanleg wordt afgeschermd door een beukenhaag aan de ene zijde en een houtwal aan de andere zijde. In het genoemde bos is een cirkelvormige waterpartij met een eilandje en open parkweide gelegen waar enkele solitairen (exotische coniferen) en boomgroepen zijn geplaatst. Vanaf de open weide is een zichtas naar de koepel op de heuvel.

Description
HISTORIC GARDEN AND PARK LAYOUT.
Partly preserved in structure and partly in detail small-scale historic garden layout in landscape style dating from the mid-nineteenth century.
This is largely in use as a pleasure garden and partly as cultivated garden and bulb field. The cultivation and bulb plot on the east side is a last remnant of the eighteenth-century large-scale layout for the herb and bulb cultivation. The landscape-style layout is enclosed in character. Curved lines are characteristic of the entire garden layout.
On the front side the country estate is bounded by an old boundary ditch, running parallel to the Gooweg. A strip of coppice screens the house from the road. Along this boundary ditch runs an avenue of beeches and oaks which forms a connection between Calorama on the south side of the property and the coach house on the north side.
On the rear the park terminates at a dune bank, on which a winding walk has been laid out which forms a prominent part of the garden layout.
Directly in front of the house lies a garden section with rhododendron planting around a round pond. This layout dates from after the year 1842 when the Gooweg was diverted with a bend around the house.
On the lawn stands a sundial on a moulded sandstone pillar. On the lawn beside the house stands a solitary tree (linden seat).
Behind the house a wooded area with a winding layout of walking paths between raised banks, between which plots of cultivated land are scattered. Within this layout a decorative and vegetable garden is included.
The rosarium is laid out in a half-moon shape. This is traversed in the middle by cuts through a transverse axis consisting of a rose bower. The end of one side of the bower is formed by a solitary coniferous tree, around which a semicircular boxwood hedge stands. Beside the rose garden and behind the garden wall lies the old vegetable garden, now consisting of a plot of grassland on which two sheds have been built. Another characteristic element of the layout is the lilac avenue. The north boundary of the garden layout is screened by a beech hedge on one side and a wood bank on the other side. In the aforementioned wood is a circular water feature with a small island and open park meadow where several solitary trees (exotic conifers) and tree groups are placed. From the open meadow is a sight line towards the cupola on the hill.
