Inleiding
Traditionele rechthoekige, driebeukige schuur met twee doorgaande dwarsdelen. De ongeveer 45 meter lange schuur is bestemd voor gemengd bedrijf, namelijk akkerbouw en veeteelt.
Omschrijving
Schuurgevels opgetrokken uit rode baksteen, voorzien van staafankers met uitzondering van de voorgevel welke is uitgevoerd in blauwgrijs geschilderde, gepotdekselde houten delen met witte omrandingen van ramen en deuren en gevelhoeken.
De houten voorgevel op rode bakstenen plint bezit, ter plaatse van de dwarsdelen, twee mendeurstellen, voorzien van rondboogvormige klinkets en per deur een hoog geplaatst rondboogvormig raampje. In het zuidelijke gevelvlak één en in het middenvlak ter plaatse van de graanopslagruimten vier kleine, rechthoekige ramen met luiken. Wit geschilderde deur- en raamomlijstingen en randen van de gevelbeschieting.
In de linker, naar de woning gekeerde, bakstenen kopgevel bevinden zich een getoogde deur met daarnaast een negenruits schuifraam ter plaatse van het karnhuis, rechts daarvan een getoogd deurstel van het wagenhuis en nabij de voorgevel een getoogde toegangsdeur tot de schuur. Vlak onder de goot bevinden zich drie ijzeren halfronde ramen. De geheel uit baksteen opgetrokken achtergevel bezit twee mendeurstellen met klinkets. Overigens een karakteristieke stallengevel met ten noorden van de mendeuren twee getoogde staldeuren en drie ronde stalramen, tussen de mendeuren twee staldeuren en recentere betonnen stalramen, zuidelijk van de mendeuren weer twee staldeuren en drie ronde stalramen.
De noordelijke, bakstenen kopgevel bezit in het midden een mendeurstel met klinket en hoge raampjes, links daarvan twee getoogde staldeuren en twee ronde stalramen, rechts een getoogde deur voor het gangpad in de stallen. De schuur is voorzien van een fors schilddak gedekt met, niet oorspronkelijk, golfplaat.
De indeling van het interieur is nog vrijwel origineel op enkele kleine aanpassingen in de stallen na. Langs de achtergevel bevinden zich bestraatte stallen, onderbroken door de dwarsdelen, van noord naar zuid respectievelijk twee maal een koeiestal en een paardestal. Voor langs de stallen loopt een pad over de gehele breedte van de schuur. In het zuidelijke deel van de schuur bevinden zich voorts het karnhuis, het wagenhuis en tasruimte. In het middendeel tasruimte en aan de voorgevel een geheel af te sluiten houten ruimte met "schotkisten" t.b.v. graanopslag. In het noordelijk gedeelte tasruimte, een hengstenstal en aan de voorgevel een voederbietopslag. De koeiestallen zijn voorzien van hardstenen schotten tussen de boxen, de paardestallen van houten schotten en ruiven. De dwarsdelen midden in de schuur bezitten een gebolde houten dorsvloer terwijl de overige delen bestraat zijn. Constructief is de schuur opgebouwd uit zeven zware vrijstaande dwarse etagegebinten met twee gebintbalken.
Waardering
Schuur van algemeen belang vanwege cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarden als groot, compleet en gaaf voorbeeld van traditionele 19de eeuwse Zeeuwse schurenbouw, tevens van belang als essentieel complexonderdeel.

Barn gables built of red brick, fitted with rod wall anchors with the exception of the front gable which is executed in blue-grey painted, rendered wooden components with white framing of windows and doors and gable corners.
The wooden front gable on a red brick plinth has, at the location of the transverse sections, two sets of double doors, equipped with round-arch shaped clinkets and per door a high-placed round-arch shaped small window. In the southern gable wall one and in the middle wall at the location of the grain storage rooms four small, rectangular windows with shutters. White painted door and window framings and edges of the gable weatherboarding.
In the left, facing the dwelling, brick end gable there are a vaulted door with next to it a nine-paned sash window at the location of the churn house, to the right of it a vaulted double-door set of the wagon house and near the front gable a vaulted access door to the barn. Just below the gutter there are three iron half-round windows. The entirely brick-built rear gable has two sets of double doors with clinkets. Otherwise a characteristic stalls gable with north of the double doors two vaulted stall doors and three round stall windows, between the double doors two stall doors and more recent concrete stall windows, south of the double doors again two stall doors and three round stall windows.
The northern, brick end gable has in the middle a set of double doors with clinket and tall small windows, to the left of it two vaulted stall doors and two round stall windows, to the right a vaulted door for the passage in the stalls. The barn is furnished with a substantial hipped roof covered with, not original, corrugated sheeting.
The interior layout is still essentially original apart from minor adaptations in the stalls. Along the rear gable there are paved stalls, interrupted by the transverse sections, from north to south respectively two each of a cow stall and a horse stall. In front along the stalls runs a passage the full width of the barn. In the southern part of the barn there are furthermore the churn house, the wagon house and chaff storage. In the middle section chaff storage and at the front gable an entirely closable wooden space with "shot bins" for grain storage. In the northern part chaff storage, a stallion stall and at the front gable a feed beet storage. The cow stalls are fitted with hardstone partitions between the boxes, the horse stalls with wooden partitions and mangers. The transverse sections in the middle of the barn have a vaulted wooden threshing floor whilst the other parts are paved. Structurally the barn is built up from seven heavy free-standing transverse collar-tie trusses with two tie beams.
Valuation
Barn of general importance because of cultural and architectural historical values as a large, complete and intact example of traditional 19th century Zeeland barn building, also of importance as an essential complex component.
