Inleiding
Buitendijks tegen de IJsseldijk gelegen romp van de korenmolen genaamd Windlust, vermoedelijk gebouwd 2e helft 18e eeuw of 1e helft 19e eeuw met bijbehorend pakhuis en machinekamer daterend uit het begin van deze eeuw. De molen bevindt zich op een plaats die al zeker sedert 1561 als molenstandplaats in gebruik is. De molen raakte rond 1930 buiten gebruik en werd in 1952 ontdaan van wieken, kap en stelling. NB Tegenover de molen bevindt zich nog de bijbehorende, waarschijnlijk eind 19e eeuwse molenaarswoning, die echter buiten de bescherming valt. De moderne met gevelplaten beklede aanbouw en de later aangebrachte verhoging van het pakhuis en de koepel op de molenromp worden eveneens niet tot het beschermde monument gerekend.
Omschrijving
Ronde, enigszins getailleerde, in baksteen opgetrokken molenromp. Lage stellingmolen met rondboogentree op de verdieping en rondboogvensters. Inwendig zijn de zolders en balklagen voor een belangrijk deel nog aanwezig, evenals de kuip waarin voorheen de kap gelegen was. Aan de noordzijde bevindt zich de machinekamer waar de mechanische hulpaandrijving was opgesteld en aan de rivierzijde het pakhuis, beide in baksteen opgetrokken. De machinekamer bestaat uit een bouwlaag onder een zadeldak. Het pakhuis is voorzien van segmentboogvensters en bestond in oorsprong uit een bouwlaag, plat afgedekt.
Waardering
De molenromp van de korenmolen Windlust met bijbehorende machinekamer en pakhuis is van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuur- en cultuurhistorische waarde wegens de nog resterende hoofdvorm van de korenmolen, de betekenis van de molen als hoofdonderdeel van het graanmaalderijcomplex en de ensemblewaarde van de molen en bijgebouwen. Het molencomplex is tevens van situationele waarde vanwege de bijzondere situering aan de buitenzijde van de rivierdijk en heeft grote landschappelijke betekenis.

Introduction
Carcass of the grain mill called Windlust, situated outside the dyke against the IJsseldijk, presumably built in the second half of the 18th century or first half of the 19th century with accompanying warehouse and engine house dating from the beginning of this century. The mill is situated on a site that has certainly been in use as a mill site since 1561. The mill fell out of use around 1930 and in 1952 was stripped of sails, roof and staging. NB Opposite the mill there is still the accompanying, probably late 19th-century miller's house, which however falls outside the protection. The modern extension clad with facade panels and the later added raising of the warehouse and the cupola on the mill carcass are likewise not included in the protected monument.
Description
Round, slightly tapered, brick-built mill carcass. Low scoop wheel mill with round-arched entrance on the storey and round-arched windows. Internally the lofts and floor beams are largely still present, as is the basin in which the roof previously lay. On the north side is the engine house where the mechanical auxiliary drive was installed and on the river side the warehouse, both built in brick. The engine house consists of one storey under a gabled roof. The warehouse is provided with segmental arch windows and originally consisted of one storey, flat-roofed.

The mill carcass of the grain mill Windlust with accompanying engine house and warehouse is of general importance by reason of the architectural and cultural historical value owing to the still remaining main form of the grain mill, the significance of the mill as a main component of the grain milling complex and the ensemble value of the mill and outbuildings. The mill complex is also of situational value by reason of the particular siting outside the river dyke and has great landscape significance.
