Inleiding
Direct aan de straat gelegen, éénzijdig aangebouwd pand, omstreeks 1875 gebouwd als regentenkamer bij het weeshuis. De verdieping diende als slaapzaal. Het gebouw is sober maar statig vormgegeven en heeft het karakter van een individueel woonhuis. Aan de achtergevel is het pand grotendeels aangebouwd tegen een oudere vleugel van het voormalige weeshuis.
Omschrijving
Uit rode handvorm baksteen opgetrokken gebouw op rechthoekige plattegrond, van vier traveeën breed en twee bouwlagen hoog onder een, evenwijdig aan de voorgevel lopend, zadeldak. De voorgevel is uitgevoerd als sobere lijstgevel en is voorzien van gietijzeren gevelankers. De kozijnen zijn uitgevoerd met afgeronde schouders. Op de verdieping 2x2 ruits schuiframen, op de begane grond 2x3 ruits schuiframen. De rechts in de gevel geplaatste entree is voorzien van een bovenlicht met gietijzeren levensboom. Het zadeldak is op het voorvlak gedekt met oegstgeester pannen.

Voormalige regentenkamer en slaapzaal van het weeshuis, van algemeen belang vanwege cultuurhistorische waarde en ensemblewaarde als onderdeel van het complex.

Building built up in red handmade brick on rectangular ground plan, of four bays wide and two storeys high under a gabled roof running parallel to the front facade. The front facade is executed as a modest cornice-topped facade and is provided with cast-iron wall anchors. The frames are executed with rounded shoulders. On the first floor 2x2 pane sash windows, on the ground floor 2x3 pane sash windows. The entrance placed on the right in the gable is provided with a fanlight with cast-iron tree of life. The gabled roof is covered on the front slope with Oegstgeest tiles.
