Inleiding
Sluiswachterswoning gebouwd rond 1875-1890 in een stijl die verwant is aan de Waterstaatsstijl. De woning is gelegen op het sluiseiland met de voorgevel naar de sluis toe.
Omschrijving
Sluiswachterswoning in baksteen opgetrokken en gedekt door een zadeldak belegd met pannen; overstek met windveren en geprofileerde daklijst op opengewerkte klossen. Opbouw met onder meer gepleisterde plint en staafankers. Voorste topgevel met een gekoppeld zesruitsvenster onder een toog en een ontlastingsboog voorzien van sluitsteen; gekoppeld rechtgesloten verdiepingsvenster. De zuidelijke zijgevel heeft een keldervenster in de plint, getoogde zesruits schuiframen en een rechtgesloten deur met tweeruits bovenlicht; staafankers. Het schuurgedeelte ingeleid door een sprong heeft een rechtgesloten wc-venster, een loopdeur en halfronde gietijzeren vensters. De noordelijke zijgevel met onder meer een keldervenster, twee getoogde zesruits schuifvensters en in het schuurgedeelte halfronde gietijzeren vensters. De oostelijke topgevel is symmetrisch ingedeeld met een toegangsdeur voorzien van een tweeruits bovenlicht. Aan weerszijden een halfrond gietijzeren venster en een gietijzeren rondvenster in de top.

Lock keeper's house built in brick and covered by a gabled roof tiled with Dutch tiles; overhang with wind braces and profiled roof line on open-worked corbels. Construction including amongst others whitewashed plinth and staff anchors. Front gable with a coupled six-pane window under a tympanum and a relieving arch provided with keystone; coupled straight-headed storey window. The southern side facade has a basement window in the plinth, arched six-pane sash windows and a straight-headed door with two-pane fanlight; staff anchors. The shed section introduced by a jog has a straight-headed WC window, a walk door and semi-circular cast-iron windows. The northern side facade with amongst others a basement window, two arched six-pane sash windows and in the shed section semi-circular cast-iron windows. The eastern gable is symmetrically arranged with an entrance door provided with a two-pane fanlight. On either side a semi-circular cast-iron window and a cast-iron round window in the top.
