Inleiding
HERINNERINGSMONUMENT bestaande uit een straatpomp met spuwers en een dubbele sierlantaarn op basement. Het monument is in november 1894 op de Markt naast het gemeentehuis geplaatst ter ere van Baron van Heeckeren, naar aanleiding van de door hem aangelegde waterleiding.
In 1989 is de straatpomp gerenoveerd.
Omschrijving
Op het vierkante hardstenen basement is een grijs geschilderde uit één stuk gegoten zinken sokkel met twee halve ovale bekkens geplaatst. Op de sokkel rust een dubbele sierlantaarn. De zinken sokkel bestaat uit een basement, schacht en hoofdgestel, waarop aan vier zijden wapens van Twickel en Delden zijn bevestigd. Aan de west- en oostzijde van de sokkel zijn de bekkens en leeuwekoppen met spuwers aangebracht. Aan de zuidkant een plaquette met het opschrift: "DANKBARE HULDE van het bestuur en de burgers van Stad Delden aan Dr. R.F. BARON VAN HEECKEREN VAN WASSENAER voor de door hem in de gemeente aangelegde waterleiding nov: 1894". De kruisvormige gietijzeren lantaarnhouder is zwart geverfd en heeft een getordeerde poot, aan de onderkant gesteund door vier leeuwepoten. Op de zijarmen van het kruis bevinden zich twee zeshoekige glazen lichthuizen. Het geheel is onder meer gedetailleerd met krulmotieven en goudkleurige knoppen.

Het herinneringsmonument is van cultuurhistorisch en stedebouwkundig belang vanwege:

MEMORIAL MONUMENT consisting of a street pump with spouts and a double ornamental lamp on a base. The monument was placed on the Markt next to the town hall in November 1894 in honour of Baron van Heeckeren, on the occasion of the water supply laid out by him.
In 1989 the street pump was renovated.
Description
On the square hardstone base is placed a grey painted zinc socket cast in one piece with two half oval basins. On the socket rests a double ornamental lamp. The zinc socket consists of a base, shaft and principal structure, on which the coats of arms of Twickel and Delden are affixed on four sides. On the west and east sides of the socket the basins and lion heads with spouts are arranged. On the south side a plaque with the inscription: "GRATEFUL TRIBUTE from the administration and citizens of City Delden to Dr. R.F. BARON VAN HEECKEREN VAN WASSENAER for the water supply laid out by him in the municipality Nov: 1894". The cross-shaped cast iron lamp holder is painted black and has a twisted foot, supported at the bottom by four lion feet. On the side arms of the cross are two hexagonal glass light houses. The whole is detailed with, among other things, scroll motifs and gilt buttons.
