Omschrijving
Uit zandsteen opgetrokken GRAFKELDER van de familie Van Heeckeren van het landgoed Twickel. De grafkelder bestaat uit één bouwlaag en heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond onder een plat dak. De ingang bevindt zich in de noordgevel. Deze is verdiept gelegen, door vier treden en een terras van betontegels bereikbaar. De stalen ingangsdeuren met een bronzen afdekplaat met panelen zijn in het midden van de gevel, tussen twee halve Dorische zuilen en onder een fries met kroonlijst geplaatst. Op het betonnen dak, waarvan de daklijst iets oversteekt, zijn boven hoeklisenen siervazen met griffioenen geplaatst.
In de zuidgevel een centrale hoge smalle risalerende middenpartij, waarnaast het terugliggende gevelvlak schuin naar beneden afloopt.
De middenpartij bestaat uit een Palladiaans motief; twee pilasters, waarop een boog geplaatst is, die insnijdt op een verhoogd timpaan, dat wordt bekroond door een vierkante steen. Aan weerszijden van de boog is een rozet uit de zandsteen gehouwen. De rondboognis tussen de pilasters is glad, de schuin aflopende muurdammetjes waartussen de pilasters geplaatst zijn, zijn geleed door schijnvoegen. Het aflopende muurvlak daarnaast bestaat uit blokken.
In het in 1929 toegevoegde portaal, dat is opgetrokken vanaf een rechthoekige plattegrond, steunt een liggend ellipsbooggewelf op consoles met bladmotieven.
De oorspronkelijke ingang bevindt zich in de noordelijke muur rechts onder een korfboog.

Description
GRAVE VAULT constructed of sandstone for the Van Heeckeren family of the Twickel estate. The grave vault consists of one storey and has a rectangular floor plan under a flat roof. The entrance is located in the north facade. This is sunken, accessible by four steps and a terrace of concrete tiles. The steel entrance doors with a bronze covering plate with panels are placed in the centre of the facade, between two half Doric columns and under a frieze with cornice. On the concrete roof, whose roof edge slightly overhangs, decorative vases with griffins are placed above corner pilasters.
In the south facade a central tall narrow projecting central part, next to which the recessed facade surface slopes down diagonally.
The central part consists of a Palladian motif; two pilasters, on which an arch is placed, which cuts into a raised tympanum, which is crowned by a square stone. On either side of the arch is a rosette carved from the sandstone. The round-arch niche between the pilasters is smooth, the diagonally sloping wall piers between which the pilasters are placed, are articulated by dummy joints. The sloping wall surface next to it consists of blocks.
In the portico added in 1929, which is constructed on a rectangular floor plan, a lying elliptical arch vault rests on consoles with leaf motifs.
The original entrance is located in the northern wall on the right under a basket arch.
