Inleiding
Kiemschuur gebouwd in 1941-1942 in opdracht van de Cooperatieve Vereniging Kiemhuis. De Maatschappij van Weldadigheid was verpachter van de grond maar tevens aandeelhouder in de cooperatie. De kiemschuur staat achter Hoeve Willem III. De bescherming heeft betrekking op interieur en exterieur.
Omschrijving
Kiemschuur gebaseerd op een langgerekt grondplan en gedekt door een zadeldak voorzien van een glazen kap (draadglas) met onderlangs golfplaten (latere toevoeging); vijf zinken ventilatieschachten met inzwenkende kap; ter hoogte van het stookhuis een gemetselde schoorsteen in het dakvlak. Gevelopbouw met betonnen plint waarop een sterk repeterende kozijnconstructie die tweezijdig bekleed is met draadglas-panelen. De kopse gevel aan de noordkant heeft een dubbelleloopdeur (binnen en buitendeur) en heeft in de top een verticaal gerabatte betimmering. De zuidelijke kopse gevel is deels gewijzigd. Het stookhuis zit halverwege de westelijke gevel en heeft een gemetselde gevel waarin een rechtgesloten gekoppeld venster.
INTERIEUR: de schuur is opgebouwd uit een repeterende constructie van houten spanten die op stijlen zijn geplaatst. Plafond bekleed met (deels nog) bepleisterde rietmatten; het overige gedeelte, boven de tweede spantbalk, is voorzien van draadglas-panelen; hierin zijn ook ventilatieluiken opgenomen. Het gemetselde stookhuis heeft een diepliggende vloer waarop de oorspronkelijke kolengestookte gietijzeren kachel staat. Van hieruit lopen langs alle gevels dikke verwarmingsbuizen op vloer- en muurplaat-niveau.
Waardering
Kiemschuur van cultuurhistorisch, architectuurhistorisch en stedebouwkundig belang vanwege de landbouwkundige ontwikkeling, de typologie, de vormgeving en het materiaalgebruik alsmede vanwege de ligging het uitzonderlijk waardevolle gebied Frederiksoord. Zeldzaam.

Description
Seed barn based on an elongated ground plan and covered by a gabled roof provided with a glass roof (wire glass) with corrugated sheets along the bottom (later addition); five zinc ventilation shafts with hinged cap; at the level of the heating house a mortared chimney in the roof surface. Facade construction with concrete plinth on which a strongly repetitive window frame construction clad on both sides with wire glass panels. The gable end on the north side has a double-door set (inner and outer door) and has in the gable apex vertical rebated cladding. The southern gable end is partly altered. The heating house is located halfway along the west gable and has a mortared facade in which a rectangular-closed coupled window.
INTERIOR: the barn is constructed from a repetitive structure of wooden trusses placed on posts. Ceiling clad with (partly still) plastered reed matting; the remaining section, above the second truss, is provided with wire glass panels; ventilation shutters are also incorporated in these. The mortared heating house has a recessed floor on which the original coal-fired cast-iron stove stands. From here run thick heating pipes along all walls at floor- and wall-plate level.
