Inleiding
Gebouwd als boerderij van het hallehuistype gebouwd in 1922-1923 in de trant van de Art Nouveau. Ontwerp en uitvoering door C.J.M. Modderman. De boerderij (inmiddels als woonhuis in gebruik) is opgericht op de plek van een door brand verwoeste voorganger.
Omschrijving
Boerderij opgetrokken in monoliet gestort ongewapend beton (zie complex beschrijving) en gebaseerd op een constructie van zware dekbalkgebinten. Het geheel gedekt door een afgewolfd pannendak (de schuur is later met golfplaten bedekt); schoorsteen. De vensters van het woonhuis zijn voorzien van een eenvoudige Art Nouveau-decoratie. Voorgevel symmetrisch ingedeeld met portiek, aan weerszijden twee ramen (oorspronkelijk schuiframen) en twee zoldervensters. Zuidgevel woonhuis met twee ramen (oorspronkelijk schuiframen). Noordgevel woonhuis met keldervenster en twee ramen (oorspronkelijk schuiframen). De schuur heeft in de noordgevel een brede baander met loopdeur en zesruits bovenlicht en een tweede diepliggende baander. Voor het overige worden de zijgevels geleed door mestdeuren en stalvensters.
Waardering
Boerderij van cultuurhistorisch en architectuurhistorisch belang vanwege het pionierskarakter (experiment in de betonbouw) en daarmee van bijzondere betekenis voor de ontwikkeling van de bouwtechniek. Zeldzaam.

Farm constructed in monolithic cast unreinforced concrete (see complex description) and based on a construction of heavy roof-beam timber-framing. The whole covered by a half-hipped tiled roof (the barn was later covered with corrugated sheets); chimney. The windows of the dwelling-house are furnished with simple Art Nouveau decoration. Front facade symmetrically arranged with porch, on either side two windows (originally sash windows) and two attic windows. South facade of dwelling-house with two windows (originally sash windows). North facade of dwelling-house with cellar window and two windows (originally sash windows). The barn has in the north facade a broad barn door with access door and six-pane fanlight and a second recessed barn door. For the rest the side facades are articulated by manure doors and stable windows.
Valuation
Farm of cultural-historical and architectural-historical significance because of its pioneering character (experiment in concrete construction) and thereby of particular significance for the development of building technology. Rare.
