Inleiding
Boerderij rond 1830 gebouwd in ambachtelijk-traditionele stijl. De boerderij is van een voor Drenthe afwijkend type, waarbij de oriëntatie van het bedrijfs- en woongedeelte in dezelfde gevel liggen (N). De bescherming richt zich op de hoofdvorm; het interieur is onbekend.
Omschrijving
Boerderij opgetrokken vanuit een langgerekte plattegrond onder rietgedekt (deels vervangen door golfplaat) schilddak met vorstpannen en doorgetrokken dakvlak aan de achterzijde waarop Hollandse pannen liggen. Op de nok een gemetselde schoorsteen.
In baksteen opgetrokken gevels, deels op een gepleisterde plint. Voorgevel (N) met staafankers; een houten opgeklampte deur onder meeruits bovenlicht met luikje, drieruits schuifvenster met meerruits bovenlicht en luiken; een getoogd meerruitsvenster en houten deur met vierruits bovenlicht; een inrijdeur met meerruits bovenlicht. Alle gevelopeningen onder rollaag.
In de deels gepotdekselde korte oostgevel een houten deur. In de achtergevel staldeuren en halfronde ijzeren stalvensters met radiale roedenverdeling; in het woongedeelte getoogde meerruitsvensters met gemetselde lekdorpels. De gepleisterde westgevel is nagenoeg blind.
Waardering
Boerderij van cultuur-, architectuurhistorisch en stedebouwkundig belang vanwege de bijzondere typologie, de karakteristieke bouwstijl, als hoofdonderdeel van het complex en de beeldbepalende situering aan de vroegere vaart.

Farmhouse constructed from an elongated ground plan under reed-thatched (partly replaced by corrugated sheet) hipped roof with frost tiles and continuous roof plane on the rear on which Dutch tiles lie. On the ridge a masoned chimney.
Brick-constructed facades, partly on a plastered plinth. Front facade (N) with rod anchors; a wooden clamped door under multi-pane fanlight with shutter, three-pane sash window with multi-pane fanlight and shutters; an arched multi-pane window and wooden door with four-pane fanlight; a drive-in door with multi-pane fanlight. All facade openings under stone roll.
In the partly pot-tiled short east gable a wooden door. In the rear gable stable doors and semicircular iron stable windows with radial glazing bars; in the residential section arched multi-pane windows with masoned drip stones. The plastered west gable is practically blind.
Valuation
Farmhouse of cultural-historical, architectural-historical and urban planning significance for its exceptional typology, characteristic building style, as a principal component of the complex and its characterful setting on the former waterway.
