Inleiding
Met elementen van het Eclecticisme rond 1905 gebouwde voormalige burgemeesterswoning genaamd "Zuiderhof". Het HERENHUIS ligt in de oostelijke rij aaneengesloten bebouwing van de Kuileneindestraat. Aan de rechterzijgevel is in 1934 een aanbouw in een bouwlaag en met plat dak gerealiseerd. Deze aanbouw is ca. 1985 uitgebreidt met een keuken. Aan de linkerzijgevel bevindt zich een aanbouw van een garage. Beide aanbouwen zijn uitgesloten van bescherming.
De erker in de eerste bouwlaag frontgevel is het restant van een grotere aanbouw.
Omschrijving
Het herenhuis heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond, telt twee bouwlagen en wordt afgedekt met een dak met plat en vier dakschilden gedekt met losanges. Opmerkelijke dakconstructie, deels authentiek. Het pand is opgetrokken in baksteen, deels voorzien van pleisterwerk en stucwerk. De voorgevel is een lijstgevel van drie assen, ingedeeld door pilasters. De middelste as is een verdieping hoger opgetrokken en wordt bekroond door een driehoekig fronton met piron. Houten segmentboogvormige vensters en deur. In de erker, eerste bouwlaag linkerzijde frontgevel, rechthoekige houten vensters van recentere datum. In de achtergevel, de zuidgevel, een rondboogvormig houten venster en deur van recentere datum. De pilasters, de over de T-vensters omgezette profiellijsten, banden, plint en het fries van het onderbroken hoofdgestel zijn uitgevoerd in pleister. Former mayor's residence called "Zuiderhof" built around 1905 with elements of Eclecticism. The TOWNHOUSE is situated in the eastern row of attached buildings of the Kuileneindestraat. On the right side facade an extension was realized in 1934 consisting of one storey with a flat roof. This extension was enlarged around 1985 with a kitchen. On the left side facade there is an extension containing a garage. Both extensions are excluded from protection.
The bay window on the first storey of the front facade is the remnant of a larger extension.
Description
The townhouse has a rectangular plan, comprises two storeys and is covered with a roof with a flat centre and four roof slopes covered with diamond-shaped tiles. Remarkable roof truss structure, partly authentic. The building is constructed in brickwork, partly furnished with plaster and stuccowork. The front facade is a cornice-topped facade of three bays, divided by pilasters. The middle bay is carried up one storey higher and is crowned by a triangular pediment with a finial. Wooden segmental arch-shaped windows and door. In the bay window, first storey left side of the front facade, rectangular wooden windows of more recent date. In the rear facade, the south facade, a semicircular wooden window and door of more recent date. The pilasters, the profile mouldings turned over the T-windows, bands, plinth and the frieze of the interrupted main cornice are executed in plaster.
