Inleiding
In een Traditioneel-ambachtelijke stijl omstreeks 1850 gebouwd HERENHUIS. Het herenhuis wordt omgeven door een tuin met gazons en is centraal gelegen in de kern Voerendaal. Omheining bestaande uit een lage bakstenen muur met hierop een smeedijzeren hekwerk van recentere datum, hekwerk tussen bakstenen kolommen.
Omschrijving
Vrijstaand herenhuis in lengterichting met een rechthoekige plattegrond. Het herenhuis telt twee bouwlagen onder een zadeldak met Tuiles du Nord. Het toegepast bouwmateriaal is baksteen, hardsteen en mergel. Rechthoekige houten paneeldeur, rechthoekige houten T-vensters. Twee halfronde glas-in-lood vensters in de achtergevel.
Symmetrische indeling frontgevel. Gecementeerde plint. Frontgevel met deuromlijsting in hardsteen, deur met trap met vier treden in hardsteen en aan weerszijden smeedijzeren leuning. In de tweede bouwlaag linkerzijgevel een rechthoekig houten venster met hardstenen dorpelsteen en mergelstenen omlijsting. In de topgevel linkerzijgevel een cordonlijst in mergel, een rondboogvormig venster en een klein halfrond venster.
In de achtergevel in de eerste bouwlaag een groot rechthoekig venster van recentere datum. In middendeel achtergevel in de eerste en tweede bouwlaag een halfrond glas-in-lood venster deels in een mergelstenen omlijsting. Drie rechthoekige houten T-vensters met hardstenen omlijsting. Twee keldervensters met een mergelstenen omlijsting. In de rechterzijgevel in de eerste bouwlaag een venster van recentere datum en een uitbouw in een bouwlaag met lessenaarsdak en met geveldelen in Kunradersteen. In de topgevel een cordonlijst in mergel. Haaks op de rechter- en linkerzijgevel een bijbouw met een rechthoekig grondplan, in een bouwlaag met een zadeldak. Bijbouwen met gecementeerde plint, met rechthoekige en rondboogvormige vensters, en rechthoekige houten deur. Bijbouw linkerzijde door middel van poortje verbonden met de hoofdmassa. Bijbouw rechterzijde door middel van uitbouw aan rechterzijgevel verbonden met de hoofdmassa.
INTERIEUR in beperkte mate intact overigens niet beschermenswaardig.
Waardering
Het herenhuis bezit architectuurhistorische waarden wegens het bijzondere materiaalgebruik en de ornamentiek. Ensemblewaarden ontleent het pand aan de centrale ligging in de kern Voerendaal en daarmeee van bijzondere betekenis voor het aanzien van deze kern. Het herenhuis is tenslotte van algemeen belang wegens de architectonische gaafheid van het exterieur en de functionele en typologische zeldzaamheid, dit laatste op grond van de ouderdom van het pand.

In the gable a cornice list in marl. At right angles to the right and left side facades a subsidiary building with a rectangular ground plan, in one storey with a gabled roof. Subsidiary buildings with cemented plinth, with rectangular and semicircular arched windows, and rectangular wooden door. Subsidiary building on the left side connected by means of a small gate with the main mass. Subsidiary building on the right side connected by means of an extension to the right side facade with the main mass.
INTERIOR intact to a limited extent, otherwise not worthy of protection.
Valuation
The mansion house possesses architectural-historical values due to the distinctive use of materials and the ornamentation. The property derives ensemble values from its central location in the centre of Voerendaal and thereby is of particular significance for the appearance of this centre.
