Omschrijving
Omstreeks 1900 gebouwde LOODS, deel uitmakend van het loodsencomplex en gelegen aan de Bierkade met de voorgevel gericht op het oosten. Het pand bestaat uit twee parallel aan elkaar gesitueerde blokken. Het gaat hierbij om een oostelijk blok en een westelijk blok, waarvan de lange zijden parallel aan de Bierkade en de Zilverstraat liggen. Hiertussen bevindt zich een binnenplaats. Deze binnenplaats is ontstaan, doordat de uiteinden van de bouwblokken grenzen aan twee andere loodsen van het complex, namelijk Bierkade 3 en Bierkade 5. Het oostelijk blok is voorzien van een mansardekap met zwarte Friese kruispannen op het onderste dakschild en een zinken dakbedekking op het bovenste dakschild. Het westelijk bouwblok heeft een schilddak met zwarte Hollandse pannen. Bij beide daken ligt de nok parallel aan de straat.
De voorgevel (O) van het pand, gelegen aan de Bierkade, is, op een gemetselde plint, gebouwd als het verlengde van de gevels van Bierkade 2 en 3, met dezelfde baksteen, gele spekbanden en geprofileerde houten daklijst. Uiterst links bevindt zich in de gevel een enkele openslaande houten deur met tweeruits bovenlicht, voorzien van een gemetselde segmentboog met metselmozaïek. Rechts hiervan is een doorgang gemaakt naar de binnenplaats. Recht boven de doorgang is in het dak een dakkapel geconstrueerd met een vierruits openslaand raam en een segmentvormig fronton.
Rechts naast de doorgang bevinden zich drie vensters met een zesruits openslaand raam. De vensters worden bovenlangs afgesloten door een ingemetselde segmentboog met gemetselde mozaïken. Deze vensters worden gevolgd door een ingangspartij, waarna er drie vensters volgen die identiek zijn aan de vensters links van de ingangspartij. Boven het eerste venster naast de ingangspartij is wederom een dakkapel aangebracht. Tenslotte eindigt de gevel uiterst rechts met een enkele deur, identiek aan de deur uiterst links in de gevel.
De voorgevel (O) is voorzien van tien muurankers.
De achtergevel (W) is opgetrokken in een iets paarsere kleur baksteen dan de voorgevel (O) en is eveneens gebouwd op een gemetselde plint. De gevel wordt bovenlangs afgesloten door een geprofileerde houten daklijst. In de gevel bevinden zich in totaal acht ronde vensters met een twaalfruits gietijzeren roedenverdeling en voorzetroosters. In de gevel zijn zesentwintig muurankers aangebracht onder de daklijst en vier muurankers boven de plint.
De binnenplaats vormt een oudere kern in het geheel, te herkennen aan de soort baksteen en een aantal muurankers.
Waardering
De loods is van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuurhistorische en cultuurhistorische waarde, als zijnde een grotendeels gaaf bewaard gebleven voorbeeld van een industrieel pand uit omstreeks 1900. Tevens heeft de loods een ensemblewaarde in relatie tot de aangrenzende bebouwing van het complex.

WAREHOUSE built around 1900, forming part of the warehouse complex and located on the Bierkade with its front facade facing east. The building consists of two blocks situated parallel to each other. This concerns an eastern block and a western block, whose long sides run parallel to the Bierkade and the Zilverstraat. Between them is situated an interior courtyard. This interior courtyard was created because the ends of the building blocks border on two other warehouses of the complex, namely Bierkade 3 and Bierkade 5. The eastern block is provided with a mansard roof with black Frisian cross tiles on the lower roof panel and zinc roofing on the upper roof panel. The western building block has a hipped roof with black Dutch tiles. For both roofs the ridge runs parallel to the street.
The front facade (E) of the building, located on the Bierkade, is, on a brick plinth, built as an extension of the facades of Bierkade 2 and 3, with the same brick, yellow brick bands and moulded wooden roof moulding. At the far left a single opening wooden door with two-pane fanlight is situated in the facade, provided with a brick segmental arch with brick mosaic. To the right of this a passage has been made to the interior courtyard. Directly above the passage a roof dormer has been constructed with a four-pane opening window and a segmental pediment.
To the right of the passage there are three windows with a six-pane opening window. The windows are closed at the top by an inset segmental arch with brick mosaics. These windows are followed by an entrance section, after which three windows follow that are identical to the windows to the left of the entrance section. Above the first window next to the entrance section another roof dormer has been fitted. Finally, the facade ends at the far right with a single door, identical to the door at the far left of the facade.
The front facade (E) is provided with ten wall anchors.
The rear facade (W) is constructed in a slightly more purple coloured brick than the front facade (E) and is likewise built on a brick plinth. The facade is closed at the top by a moulded wooden roof moulding. In the facade there are in total eight round windows with a twelve-pane cast-iron glazing bar division and security grilles. In the facade twenty-six wall anchors are fitted below the roof moulding and four wall anchors above the plinth.
The interior courtyard forms an older core in the whole, recognisable from the type of brick and a number of wall anchors.
Valuation
The warehouse is of general importance because of its architectural and cultural-historical value, being a largely well-preserved example of an industrial building from around 1900. Furthermore, the warehouse has ensemble value in relation to the adjoining buildings of the complex.
