The register's description

KOETSHUIS ANNEX WONING.

COACH HOUSE ANNEX DWELLING.

Presumably originally built around 1815 (specification for the construction of the coach house mentioned in an archival document from 1815) and substantially rebuilt around 1907 by the Vening Meinesz family. At the time of the boarding school the coach house was converted into a sports hall (with a renovation in 1974) so that the interior is of secondary importance for the preservation. In the south-east section the dwelling has traditionally been situated.

The complex has an almost rectangular ground plan and is covered by a hipped roof covered with slate. The facades are white rendered and show a surrounding brick edge above windows and doors of the ground floor.

On the facades along the drive the dwelling is situated on the left side. To the right of this dwelling is the wooden entrance door with 6-pane fanlight and on the left a T-window with shutters and an 8-pane fanlight. Adjoining to the right is the coach house section consisting of 2 bell gables between which the arched double coach house door is situated. On either side of this door the ground floor is provided with 3 high-set 4-pane windows with arched span.

Above the double door of the coach house on the upper floor a double panel door with flat 8-pane fanlight and on either side two 19-pane windows are fitted, the outside of which follows the curve of the bell gable. These panel doors are connected to the ground via a fire escape. In the bell gables a 12-pane window.

The south-east facade shows 5 bays. On the ground floor on either side and in the centre 3 T-windows with shutters and an 8-pane fanlight. The upper floor has on the second and fourth bay a double casement 16-pane window (8 panes per window). At the level of the latter windows the facade is finished in bell shape.

On the north-west side on the left an outbuilding under a monopitched roof with centrally on the north-west side a panel door. On the south-west side of the outbuilding a single-pane sash window with 8-pane fanlight is fitted. On the upper floor two 4-pane dormer windows.

The south-west side shows on the right side the dwelling with on the left the entrance door with a 6-pane fanlight and on the right a T-window with 8-pane fanlight. On the upper floor a 4-pane dormer window. To the left of the entrance door is a projecting projection room with door with an open circle with a cross in it. Above it a single-pane light is fitted.

Adjacent on the left is the coach house, consisting of 2 bell gables with centrally the double arched coach house doors under an arched brick span. Adjoining on either side a 6-pane window, likewise under an arched brick span. Above the doors on the upper floor the hipped roof is extended to a window wall built up between the bell gables with centrally two 20-pane windows. The latter have on either side again a 15-pane window whose outside follows the curve of the bell gable. At the tops of the bell gables again double casement 12-pane windows (6 panes per window).

The irregular build-up of the complex with bell gables is said to be an expression of German neo-baroque style.
