Inleiding
GRAFMONUMENT Bosch van Drakenstein, 1842, bestaande uit een rijk geornamenteerd smeedijzeren hekwerk op een hardstenen basement.
Omschrijving
Grafmonument, smeedijzeren hekwerk op rechthoekig hardstenen basement, rustend op tien in ijzer gegoten schedels. In de bovenrand van het hekwerk de thans incomplete tekst in losse ijzeren letters "B.A.C.C.O. Bosch van Drakestein Geboren Volkhemer Overleden den 10den Juny 1842 Zij Ruste in Vrede".
Het ijzeren hekwerk is verdeeld in een tiental vakken met rouwattributen. Aan de oostzijde, v.l.n.r. een tiara met twee kruiselings geplaatste kruisstaven en twee doodsbeenderen; bloemenmandje met schaar, die een bloemstengel afknipt; een pastoorshoed met kruiselings geplaatste herdersstaf en herdersschopje. Aan de zuidzijde v.l.n.r. de geloof-, hoop- en liefdesymbolen, twee zeisen en een schop.
Aan de westzijde v.l.n.r. gekruiste hellebaard en zwaard, waarboven een helm en twee gekruiste doodsbeenderen; een kelk met twee gekruiste olijftakken; een prinsenkroon met twee gekruiste scepters, twee gekruiste doodsbeenderen. Aan de noordzijde v.l.n.r. een schaal met bellen, blaaspijp en een doodskop.

Het grafmonument Bosch van Drakestein is van cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een culturele, sociale, geestelijke en typologische ontwikkeling. Description
Grave monument, wrought-iron framework on rectangular stone basement, resting on ten cast-iron skulls. In the upper rim of the framework the now incomplete text in loose iron letters "B.A.C.C.O. Bosch van Drakestein Born Volkhemer Died the 10th June 1842 May He Rest in Peace".
The iron framework is divided into approximately ten compartments with mourning attributes. On the east side, from left to right a tiara with two crossed crossbars and two crossbones; flower basket with shears cutting a flower stem; a pastoral hat with crossed crosier and shepherd's spade. On the south side from left to right the symbols of faith, hope and charity, two scythes and a spade.
On the west side from left to right crossed halberd and sword, above which a helmet and two crossed crossbones; a chalice with two crossed olive branches; a prince's crown with two crossed sceptres, two crossed crossbones. On the north side from left to right a scale with bells, blowpipe and a skull.
