Inleiding
In eclectische trant gebouwd WOONHUIS, als type ook wel aangeduid met rentenierswoning. Het woonhuis staat aan de oostzijde van het Noordeinde en wordt hiervan door een ijzeren hek gescheiden. Het woonhuis heeft een gevelsteen met het jaartal 1872.
Omschrijving
Op rechthoekig grondplan gebouwd en ten dele onderkelderd woonhuis met lijstgevel. Het woonhuis bestaat uit één bouwlaag onder schilddak bedekt met zwarte platte Friese pan en met de noklijn evenwijdig aan de weg. De beide nokpunten hebben een gemetselde schoorsteen. Het muurwerk is opgetrokken in rode baksteen.
De voorgevel (O) is symmetrisch van opzet, telt vijf vensterassen, heeft een gepleisterde plint en een gepleisterd fries met houten kroonlijst. De architectonische nadruk ligt op de middenpartij. Deze middenpartij heeft een geblokte liseen aan weerszijden van de centrale ingang. Deze ingang bestaat uit een paneeldeur met bovenlicht. Voor de deur ligt een stoep in hardsteen. Boven de ingang - en hiervan door genoemd fries en kroonlijst gescheiden - bevindt zich een hoog opgemetselde dakkapel onder flauw hellend zadeldak met gesneden windveren en gootlijsten. Het muurwerk van de dakkapel is gepleisterd met schijnvoegen. Op de beide hoeken bevinden zich lisenen met verticale spaarvelden. De dakkapel heeft een zesruits schuifvenster. De geveldelen aan weerszijden van de middenpartij hebben elk twee zesruits schuifvensters. Alle kozijnen in de voorgevel hebben afgeronde bovenhoeken.
De rechterzijgevel (Z) heeft nabij de voorgevel een zesruits schuifvenster en nabij de achtergevel een negenruits schuifvenster. De linkerzijgevel (N) is grotendeels blind en voorzien van twee kleine, niet oorspronkelijke vensters. De symmetrisch ingedeelde achtergevel heeft twee zesruits schuifvensters en een centrale paneeldeur met glaspaneel en bovenlicht met oorspronkelijke levensboom. De deur wordt bereikt via een houten trap met drie treden. Onder het linker schuifvenster (Z) bevindt zich een keldervenster. De kozijnen van genoemde vensters en deur volgen in de bovenzijde van het kozijn de getoogde onderzijden van de strekken.
Het interieur heeft nog de oorspronkelijke indeling. De kamer rechts (Z) van de centrale middengang heeft een oorspronkelijke schoorsteenmantel.

The residential building consists of one storey under a hipped roof covered with black flat Frisian pan tiles and with the ridge line parallel to the road. Both ridge ends have a brick chimney. The masonry is built in red brick.
The front facade (E) is symmetrical in layout, has five window bays, has a plastered plinth and a plastered frieze with wooden cornice. The architectural emphasis lies on the central section. This central section has a rusticated pilaster on either side of the central entrance. This entrance consists of a panelled door with fanlight. In front of the door is a step in stone. Above the entrance - and separated from it by said frieze and cornice - is a tall brick dormer window under a gently pitched gabled roof with carved wind bracing and gutter mouldings. The masonry of the dormer window is plastered with false joints. On both corners there are pilasters with vertical spared fields. The dormer window has a six-pane sash window. The facade sections on either side of the central section each have two six-pane sash windows. All window frames in the front facade have rounded upper corners.
The right side facade (S) has a six-pane sash window near the front facade and a nine-pane sash window near the rear facade. The left side facade (N) is largely blind and provided with two small, non-original windows. The symmetrically arranged rear facade has two six-pane sash windows and a central panelled door with glass panel and fanlight with original tree-of-life. The door is reached via a wooden staircase with three steps. Below the left sash window (S) is a cellar window. The frames of said windows and door follow, on the top side of the frame, the arched undersides of the lintels.
The interior still has the original layout. The room to the right (S) of the central middle passage has an original mantelpiece.
Valuation
The residential building is of general importance from a cultural and architectural-historical perspective as a well-preserved example of 19th-century countryside architecture.
