Inleiding
Voormalige WAGENSCHUUR met paardenstal, behorend bij het boerderijcomplex "Leeuwarden". Het object dateert uit het vierde kwart van de 19de eeuw en is gelegen ten westen van de langhuisboerderij.
Omschrijving
De wagenschuur op rechthoekige grondslag is opgetrokken in machinaal gevormde baksteen en gedekt door een zadeldak met Hollandse pannen. De noklijn staat loodrecht op de Boterdijk.
De voorgevel (N) is rijk versierd en heeft dubbele, getoogde wagendeuren, geflankeerd door twee rondbogige vensters en in de top een ijzeren oculus met bloemvormige onderverdeling. Afwisselend rode en gele bakstenen sieren het omsluitend metselwerk. Gesneden houten windveren met à-jourwerken een gevelmakelaar sluiten de gevel af.
De linker zijgevel (O) duidt met drie deuren van stijl- en regelwerk op een indeling van het gebouw in drie ruimten: de wagenschuur, een paardenstal en een opslaghok. Elke ruimte wordt verlicht door een getoogd, gietijzeren stalraam.
De rechter zijgevel (W) grenst aan de rand van het kavel en is voorzien van twee, eveneens getoogde, gietijzeren stalramen.
De achtergevel (Z) heeft een daklijst met een makelaar.

De voormalige wagenschuur met paardenstal is van algemeen belang uit cultuur- en architectuurhistorisch oogpunt als historisch-functioneel onderdeel van boerderijcomplex "Leeuwarden" en als voorbeeld van een 19de-eeuwse wagenschuur in rijke streek-eigen bouwtrant op het Noordhollandse platteland.

Former WAGON SHED with horse stable, belonging to the farmyard complex "Leeuwarden". The building dates from the fourth quarter of the 19th century and is situated to the west of the longhouse farmhouse.
Description
The wagon shed on rectangular foundation is constructed in machine-formed brick and covered by a gabled roof with Dutch tiles. The roof ridge runs perpendicular to the Boterdijk.
The front facade (N) is richly decorated and has double, arched wagon doors, flanked by two round-arched windows and at the top an iron oculus with flower-shaped glazing. Alternating red and yellow bricks adorn the surrounding masonry. Carved wooden wind braces with fretwork and a roof edge ornament complete the facade.
The left side facade (E) indicates with three doors of stile-and-rail work a division of the building into three spaces: the wagon shed, a horse stable and a storage room. Each space is lit by an arched, cast-iron stable window.
The right side facade (W) borders the edge of the plot and is furnished with two, likewise arched, cast-iron stable windows.
The rear facade (S) has a roof edge with an ornament.
