Inleiding
"Hoeve Vogelzang" is een in traditioneel-ambachtelijke stijl gebouwde GESLOTEN HOEVE met een woonhuis tweede helft 19 de eeuw en oudere bedrijfsgebouwen. De hoeve is markant gesitueerd in het glooiende landschap buiten de bebouwde kom van de kern Eys. Vogelzang wordt al in 1539 vermeld. Op de kaart van Tranchot (1803) staat de hoeve als "Goudenrathhof" aangegeven. Het kadastrale minuutplan van ca. 1835 toont een binnenplaats omsloten door twee haakvormig aangelegde gedeelten. In een der gevels van het bedrijfsgedeelte rond de binnenplaats vormen muurankers het jaartal 1727. Het woonhuis vormt een onlosmakelijke eenheid met de oudere bedrijfsgebouwen. De naoorlogse aanbouw en bijbouw zijn uitgesloten van bescherming.
Omschrijving
Hoeve rondom een gesloten binnenplaats, omgeven door gebouwen van Kunrader steen deels met venster- en deuromlijstingen van baksteen. Het geheel heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond, telt twee bouwlagen en wordt afgedekt met zadeldaken met Hollandse pannen. De zuidvleugel met iets breder woongedeelte werd gebouwd in de tweede helft van de 19 de eeuw. Deze vleugel wordt aan de oostkant afgesloten door een topgevel, waarin bakstenen vensteromlijstingen gekoppeld zijn aan een hoger opgaande rondboogomlijsting als middenmotief.
Achter de boerderij een klein bakhuis geheel opgetrokken in Kunrader steen met een pannenzadeldak.
Waardering
De Hoeve Vogelzang is van cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een sociaal-economische en typologische ontwikkeling. De boerderij bezit streekgebonden architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege het materiaalgebruik en wegens de karakteristieke hoofdvorm van de schikking van gebouwen rondom een hof, en de ornamentiek. Het object bezit ensemblewaarde vanwege de markante situering in het glooiende landschap nabij de bebouwde kom van de kern Eys waardoor de agrarische relatie tot het grondgebruik tot uitdrukking wordt gebracht. "Hoeve Vogelzang" is a CLOSED FARMSTEAD built in a traditional-craft style with a dwelling house from the second half of the 19th century and older farm buildings. The farmstead is markedly situated in the rolling landscape outside the built-up area of the village centre Eys. Vogelzang is already mentioned in 1539. On the Tranchot map (1803) the farmstead is indicated as "Goudenrathhof". The cadastral minute plan of circa 1835 shows a courtyard enclosed by two hook-shaped arranged sections. The whole has a rectangular ground plan, comprises two storeys and is covered with gabled roofs with Dutch tiles. The south wing with a somewhat broader residential section was built in the second half of the 19th century. This wing is closed on the east side by a stepped gable, in which brick window surrounds are coupled with a higher rising round-arched surround as central motif.
Behind the farmhouse a small bakehouse built entirely in Kunrader stone with a pantile gabled roof.
