Inleiding
Meest links gelegen huis van een op een terrein aan de Heinzestraat in 1921-1922 gebouwd bouwblok van vijf geschakelde en aan elkaar gespiegelde WONINGEN op een rechthoekige plattegrond in Amsterdamse School-stijl, oorspronkelijk bestaande uit vier huizen met elk een bovenhuis en één huis met twee bovenhuizen. De woningen zijn ontworpen door P.L. Kramer in opdracht van J.Th. Boersma.
Omschrijving
Meest links gelegen lichtbruine bakstenen woning van twee traveeën breed op een zwart gepleisterde bakstenen basement bestaande uit drie bouwlagen onder een plat dak met terracotta muizetand als daklijst.
Driehoekvormige en naar binnen gelegen ingang bereikbaar via een uit drie treden bestaande hardstenen stoep met schuin tegen elkaar aangezette houten deuren in Amsterdamse School-detaillering. Naast de stoep een kelderraam met traliewerk.
Portiek wordt aan beide zijden geflankeerd door naar buiten draaiende houten halfzuilen. Beganegronds aan weerszijden van portiek twee in verschillend formaat uitgevoerde houten vensters, waarvan het linker is ingebed in een zwart gepleisterd muurvlak, met verticale en horizontale roedenverdeling. Tussen de vensters beganegronds plastisch gevormde naar buiten draaiende houten zuilen.
Gekoppelde verdiepingvensters met horizontale roedenverdeling gevat in een decoratief uitgevoerd kozijn.
De naar buiten draaiende, holvormige hoek is voorzien van verticale gemetselde tanden.
Siersmeedijzeren hijsbalk onder de lijst.
Waardering
Deel van woningblok van architectuurhistorisch belang als representatief voorbeeld van een hechte gevelcompositie en een expressieve detaillering in de stijl van de Amsterdamse School. Tevens van belang in het oeuvre van architect P.L. Kramer.

Leftmost house of a block of five linked and mirrored DWELLINGS built on a site at Heinzestraat in 1921-1922 on a rectangular ground plan in Amsterdam School style, originally consisting of four houses each with one upper floor and one house with two upper floors. The dwellings were designed by P.L. Kramer on commission of J.Th. Boersma.
Description
Leftmost light brown brick dwelling two bays wide on a black rendered brick basement consisting of three storeys under a flat roof with terracotta tooth moulding as roof edging.
Triangular and recessed entrance accessible via a hard stone step consisting of three treads with wooden doors set at an angle to each other in Amsterdam School detailing. Beside the step a basement window with ironwork.
Portico flanked on both sides by outward-turning wooden half-columns. Ground floor on either side of portico two wooden windows executed in different sizes, the left one embedded in a black rendered wall surface, with vertical and horizontal glazing bars. Between the windows ground floor plastically formed outward-turning wooden columns.
Linked upper-floor windows with horizontal glazing bars set in a decoratively executed frame.
The outward-turning, convex corner is provided with vertically laid decorative brick teeth.
Decorative wrought-iron hoist-beam under the moulding.
Valuation
Part of dwelling block of architectural historical importance as a representative example of a unified facade composition and expressive detailing in the style of the Amsterdam School. Also of importance in the oeuvre of architect P.L. Kramer.
