Inleiding
In opdracht van mr. D. Crena de Jongh, de toenmalige directeur van de Nederlandsche Handel-Maatschappij, in 1926 (niet eerder dan 1925) gebouwd tuinhuis. Ontworpen door de architecten M.J. Granpré Molière, P. Verhagen en A.J.Th. Kok in een sobere bouwtrant.
Omschrijving
Het houten tuinhuis bevindt zich in de achtertuin van de villa, grenzend aan de Vondelparkvijver. Het octagonale tuinhuis heeft zeven korte zijden en één deels open lange toegangszijde. Het tentdak heeft zes schilden. Bij de lange zijde bevindt zich een ruime overstek. De rode shingle-dakbedekking van het tuinhuis is niet oorspronkelijk.
Waardering
Het tuinhuis is van belang vanwege architectuur- en cultuurhistorische, functioneel-typologische en situationele waarde als historisch functioneel complex-onderdeel.

Commissioned by mr. D. Crena de Jongh, the then director of the Nederlandsche Handel-Maatschappij, built in 1926 (not earlier than 1925) garden house. Designed by the architects M.J. Granpré Molière, P. Verhagen and A.J.Th. Kok in a sober building manner.
Description
The wooden garden house is located in the rear garden of the villa, bordering the Vondelpark pond. The octagonal garden house has seven short sides and one partly open long entrance side. The hipped roof has six planes. On the long side there is ample overhang. The red shingle roof covering of the garden house is not original.
Valuation
The garden house is of importance due to architectural and cultural-historical, functional-typological and situational value as a historic functional complex-component.
