Inleiding
De Oldambtster BOERDERIJ is in het derde kwart van de vorige eeuw in het vm. agrarische dorp Kooten gerealiseerd. Op het erf is voorts een bijschuur gesitueerd. Het boerderijtype is in een streekeigen bouwtrant tot stand gekomen onder architectonische invloed van het naburige Groningen.
Omschrijving
De boerderij is opgetrokken in roodbruine handvormbakstenen met een trasraam van donkerbruine bakstenen. Het muurvlak van de voorgevel met rozetankers ligt terug t.o.v. de plint met rollaag en de enigszins voren gemetselde hoek- en gevelafsluiting. De gevel aan de voorzijde wordt afgesloten door een brede daklijst en een gootlijst. Het wolfdak is bij het woongedeelte gedekt met zwart geglazuurde gegolfde Friese pannen.
De voorgevel is verdeeld in zes raamtraveeën: vijf vensters en een deur. De vijf verticale houten H-vensters onder strek, waarvan er één blind is (vh. lokatie van de melkkelder), zijn licht getoogd. De oorspronkelijke houten geverniste deur heeft een getoogd bovenlicht. Boven de vensters en de deur zijn zes getoogde zaadzoldervensters onder strek; vier zaadzoldervensters zijn blind. Op de hoek van nok en hoekkepers is een gemetselde schoorsteen. Aan de noordgevel is een tweelichts zesruitsvenster en een dichtgemetselde deuropening. In het interieur zijn ondermeer de oorspronkelijke bedstedewanden nog aanwezig. Het dak van het schuurgedeelte is gedekt met riet en vorstkam en vier regels zwart geglazuurde gegolfde pannen. Voorts op het dak een uilebord van het Friese Wouden-type en een luchtkist. Het schuurgedeelte aan de noordzijde is nagenoeg blind, uitgezonderd een deur en raampje. Aan de achterzijde van de schuur is een deur met zijlicht, die oorspronkelijk naar de paardestal leidde. Twee deuren zijn vervallen en de makelaar is vernieuwd. Aan de zuidgevel zijn elf getoogde zesruits stalramen onder rollaag.
Waardering
De in het derde kwart van de vorige eeuw tot stand gekomen Oldambtster boerderij in Kootstertille is van belang:

The Oldambtster FARMHOUSE was realised in the third quarter of the previous century in the former agricultural village of Kooten. On the farmyard there is also a outbuilding situated. The farmhouse type was created in a regional building style under architectural influence from neighbouring Groningen.
Description
The farmhouse is built in reddish-brown handmade bricks with a trash frame of dark brown bricks. The wall surface of the front facade with ornamental wall anchors lies back in relation to the plinth with roll moulding and the somewhat projecting cornered and facade closure. The front facade is closed off by a broad drip moulding and a gutter moulding. The half-hipped roof at the residential section is covered with black glazed corrugated Frisian tiles.
The front facade is divided into six window bays: five windows and a door. The five vertical wooden H-windows under string course, of which one is blind (former location of the milk cellar), are slightly arched. The original wooden varnished door has an arched fanlight. Above the windows and the door are six arched seed-loft windows under string course; four seed-loft windows are blind. At the corner of the ridge and corner rafters is a brick chimney. On the north facade is a two-light six-pane window and a bricked-up door opening. In the interior are among others the original bed alcove walls still present. The roof of the barn section is covered with thatch and frost crest and four rows of black glazed corrugated tiles. Furthermore on the roof an owl board of the Friesian Wouden type and an air box. The barn section on the north side is nearly blind, except for a door and small window. On the rear of the barn is a door with sidelight, which originally led to the horse stable. Two doors have been lost and the tie beam has been renewed. On the south facade are eleven arched six-pane stable windows under roll moulding.
Valuation
The Oldambtster farmhouse realised in the third quarter of the previous century in Kootstertille is of significance:
