Inleiding
In een traditioneel-ambachtelijke bouwstijl omstreeks 1890 gebouwde PASTORIE. De pastorie is door middel van een muur aan de rechterzijgevel verbonden met de naastgelegen kapelanie die uit dezelfde bouwperiode dateert. Pastorie en kapelanie zijn gelegen aan het Kerkplein naast de reeds rijksbeschermde R.K. Sint Martinuskerk.
De aanbouw aan de rechterzijgevel is uitgesloten van bescherming.
Omschrijving
De pastorie heeft een in de lengterichting geplaatste rechthoekige plattegrond, telt twee bouwlagen en wordt afgedekt met een zadeldak met Hollandse pannen. Het toegepaste bouwmateriaal is baksteen en mergel.
Halfvrijstaande pastorie. Symmetrische indeling frontgevel. Rechthoekige houten vensters en deuren met segmentboogvormige bovenlichten. Eerste en tweede bouwlaag gescheiden door middel van een mergel richel. Boven de vensters en de deur decoratieve rollagen in rode baksteen en mergel. Siermetselwerk onder de dakrand. Glas-in-lood vensters en deur met glas-in-lood bovenlicht. Smeedijzeren muurankers. Deur met trap van recentere datum. In de muur aan de rechterzijgevel een segmentboogvormig houten poortje. Deze muur vormt de verbinding met de naastgelegen kapelanie.
In de rechterzijgevel en de achtergevel enkele vensteromlijstingen in hardsteen. Linkerzijgevel gecementeerd met in de eerste bouwlaag een venster van recentere datum. Aan de rechterzijgevel in de eerste bouwlaag een aanbouw van recentere datum met plat dak.
Waardering
De pastorie in combinatie met de naastgelegen kapelanie is van cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een geestelijke ontwikkeling namelijk de katholieke religie. Deze combinatie is eveneens typologisch van belang.
Ensemblewaarde ontleent de pastorie met de naastgelegen kapelanie aan de situering aan het kerkplein naast de monumentale Sint Martinuskerk en daarmee van bijzondere betekenis voor het aanzien van Gronsveld. De pastorie in combinatie met de naastgelegen kapelanie is tenslotte van algemeen belang op grond van de typologische en functionele zeldzaamheid.

The parsonage has a rectangular floor plan positioned lengthwise, consists of two storeys and is covered with a gabled roof with Dutch tiles. The building material used is brick and marl.
Semi-detached parsonage. Symmetrical arrangement of front facade. Rectangular wooden windows and doors with segmental arch fanlights. First and second storey separated by means of a marl shelf. Above the windows and the door decorative courses in red brick and marl. Decorative masonry under the eaves. Leaded glass windows and door with leaded glass fanlight. Wrought-iron wall anchors. Door with steps of recent date. In the wall on the right side facade a segmental arch wooden gate. This wall forms the connection with the adjacent chaplaincy.
In the right side facade and the rear facade some window surrounds in hardstone. Left side facade cemented with on the first storey a window of recent date. On the right side facade on the first storey an extension of recent date with flat roof.
Valuation
The parsonage in combination with the adjacent chaplaincy is of cultural-historical value as a particular expression of a spiritual development, namely the Catholic religion. This combination is also of typological importance.
The parsonage with the adjacent chaplaincy derives ensemble value from its situation at Kerkplein beside the monumental Sint Martinuskerk and thereby of particular significance for the appearance of Gronsveld.
