Inleiding
In een traditioneel-ambachtelijke bouwstijl omstreeks 1890 gebouwde KAPELANIE. De kapelanie is door middel van een muur aan de linkerzijgevel verbonden met de naastgelegen pastorie die uit dezelfde bouwperiode dateert. Kapelanie en pastorie zijn gelegen aan het kerkplein naast de reeds rijksbeschermde R.K. Sint Martinuskerk.
De diverse aanbouwen aan achtergevel en rechterzijgevel zijn uitgesloten van bescherming.
Omschrijving
De kapelanie heeft een in de lengterichting geplaatste rechthoekige plattegrond, telt twee bouwlagen en wordt afgedekt met een zadeldak met Hollandse pannen. Het toegepaste bouwmateriaal is baksteen.
Halfvrijstaande kapelanie. Symmetrische indeling frontgevel.
Gecementeerde plint. Rechthoekige houten vensters in een rondboogvormige omlijsting. In rechterdeel frontgevel twee blinde vensters. Deur in rechterzijgevel. Rondboogvormige vulstukken met hierin decoratief metselwerk. Smeedijzeren muurankers.
Hardstenen dorpelstenen. Aan de achtergevel aanbouw in een bouwlaag met plat dak met hieraan een aanbouw van een halfronde veranda met hierop een terras. Aanbouw van een garage met plat dak.
Waardering
De kapelanie in combinatie met de naastgelegen pastorie is van cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een geestelijke ontwikkeling namelijk de katholieke religie. Deze combinatie is eveneens typologisch van belang. Ensemblewaarde ontleent de kapelanie met de naastgelegen pastorie aan de situering aan het kerkplein naast de monumentale Sint Martinuskerk en daarmee van bijzondere betekenis voor het aanzien van Gronsveld. De kapelanie in combinatie met de naastgelegen pastorie is tenslotte van algemeen belang op grond van de typologische en functionele zeldzaamheid.

A CHAPLAINCY built around 1890 in a traditional craft building style. The chaplaincy is connected to the adjacent parsonage of the same building period by means of a wall on the left side facade. Chaplaincy and parsonage are situated at the church square beside the already protected R.C. Sint Martinuskerk.
The various extensions on the rear facade and right side facade are excluded from protection.
Description
The chaplaincy has a rectangular floor plan positioned lengthwise, consists of two storeys and is covered with a gabled roof with Dutch tiles. The building material used is brick.
Semi-detached chaplaincy. Symmetrical arrangement of front facade.
Cemented plinth. Rectangular wooden windows in a round arch surround. In the right part of the front facade two blind windows. Door in the right side facade. Round arch-shaped filler pieces with decorative masonry within. Wrought-iron wall anchors.
Hardstone threshold stones. On the rear facade an extension of one storey with flat roof with adjoining a half-round veranda extension with a terrace on top. Extension of a garage with flat roof.

The chaplaincy in combination with the adjacent parsonage is of cultural-historical value as a particular expression of a spiritual development, namely the Catholic religion. This combination is also of typological importance.
