Inleiding
Uit het midden van de 19de eeuw daterend vrijstaande voormalige LANDARBEIDERSWONING. Het pand is op de oostzijde van een middeleeuwse terp gelegen en werd oorspronkelijk in tweeën bewoond. Nu is het pand tot één woonhuis verbouwd.
Het pand vormt tezamen met de overige bebouwing (Surmerhuizerweg 11 en 13) op de reeds van rijkswege beschermde terp een karakteristiek buurtje.
Omschrijving
Op rechthoekig grondplan gebouwde voormalige landarbeiderswoning van één bouwlaag onder zadeldak, welke is gedekt met riet. De noklijn van het dak is oost-west gesitueerd. Het pand bezit aan de noordzijde een aankapping, welke is bedekt met rode Hollandse pannen.
Het pand is opgetrokken in rode baksteen. De plint is zwart geverfd met daarboven een smalle wit geverfde band.
De zuidgevel van het pand is een langsgevel en bezit in totaal vier zesruits schuifvensters, welke twee aan twee zijn gegroepeerd.
De westgevel bezit een houten topgevel van verticale houten latten. In deze topgevel bevindt zich een vierruits houten draaivenster. Op de begane grond bevindt zich links, ter hoogte van de aankapping, een houten deur met vierruits venster. Rechts van deze deur bevindt zich een klein vierruits vast venster. In deze gevelzijde bevinden zich enkele gietijzeren siermuurankers.
In de noordgevel bevinden zich in totaal vijf vaste houten vensters. Bovenlangs deze gevelzijde loopt een houten goot op klossen.
De oostgevel van het pand heeft eveneens een houten topgevel van verticale houten latten. Ook in deze topgevel bevindt zich een vierruits houten draaivenster. Op de begane grond bevindt zich links een vast vierruits houten venster en rechts een houten deur met bovenlicht met rechts daarvan een vierruits vast houten venster.
Waardering
De voormalige landarbeiderswoning is van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuur- en cultuurhistorische waarde als zijnde een voorbeeld van een eenvoudige 19de-eeuwse woning op het platteland. Tevens is het pand door zijn ligging op de middeleeuwse terp van Eenigenburg van beeldbepalende betekenis en bezit het met de overige bebouwing op de terp een ensemblewaarde.

A detached former AGRICULTURAL WORKER'S DWELLING dating from the mid-19th century. The property is situated on the east side of a medieval terp and was originally divided into two dwellings. The property has now been converted into a single residence.
Together with the remaining buildings (Surmerhuizerweg 11 and 13) on the terp, which is already protected by the national government, the property forms a characteristic neighbourhood.
Description
A former agricultural worker's dwelling built on a rectangular ground plan, consisting of one storey beneath a gabled roof, which is covered with thatch. The ridge line of the roof runs east-west. The property has a lean-to on the north side, which is covered with red Dutch tiles.
The property is constructed in red brick. The plinth is painted black with a narrow white-painted band above it.
The south gable of the property is a long gable and has a total of four six-paned sash windows, which are grouped in pairs.
The west gable has a wooden top gable of vertical wooden laths. In this top gable is a four-paned wooden pivot window. On the ground floor, to the left at the height of the lean-to, is a wooden door with a four-paned window. To the right of this door is a small four-paned fixed window. On this gable side are several cast-iron ornamental wall anchors.
In the north gable are a total of five fixed wooden windows. Along the top of this gable side runs a wooden gutter on brackets.
