Inleiding
Uit het midden van de 19de eeuw daterende vrijstaande voormalige LANDARBEIDERSWONING. Het pand is op de oostzijde van een middeleeuwse terp gelegen en vormt tezamen met de overige bebouwing (Surmerhuizerweg 11 en 15) op de reeds van rijkswege beschermde terp een karakteristiek buurtje.
N.B. De aan de oostzijde van het pand geplaatste latere aanbouw valt buiten de bescherming.
Omschrijving
Op rechthoekig grondplan gebouwde voormalige landarbeiderswoning van één bouwlaag onder zadeldak gedekt met riet. De onderste panstroken van het dak zijn bekleed met rode Hollandse pannen. De noklijn van het pand is oost-west gesitueerd.
Het pand is opgetrokken in rode baksteen. De westgevel is gepleisterd met natuursteenmotief.
De zuidgevel van het pand, een langsgevel, bezit twee houten T-vensters. Rechts daarvan bevindt zich een aankapping onder lessenaarsdak, die de entree bevat. Het lessenaarsdak is bekleed met rode Hollandse pannen. De entree bestaat oorspronkelijk uit een houten opgeklampte deur. Links van deze deur bevindt zich een dubbel openslaand houten venster.
De oostgevel van het pand is op de begane grond dichtgezet met een nieuwe aanbouw. Hierboven bevindt zich in de topgevel een klein houten venster. De westgevel bezit op de begane grond een houten T-venster en op de verdieping een openslaand houten venster. De noordgevel heeft één houten T-venster en twee kleine houten ramen.
Waardering
De voormalige landarbeiderswoning is van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuur- en cultuurhistorische waarde als zijnde een voorbeeld van een eenvoudige 19de-eeuwse woning op het platteland. Tevens is het pand door zijn ligging op de middeleeuwse terp van Eenigenburg van beeldbepalende betekenis en bezit het met de overige bebouwing op de terp een ensemblewaarde.

Introduction
Detached former AGRICULTURAL LABOURER'S DWELLING dating from the middle of the 19th century. The building is located on the east side of a medieval terp and together with the other buildings (Surmerhuizerweg 11 and 15) on the terp already protected by the State, forms a characteristic street.
N.B. The later extension placed on the east side of the building falls outside the protection.
Description
Former agricultural labourer's dwelling built on rectangular ground plan of one storey under a gabled roof covered with thatch. The lower strips of thatch are clad with red Dutch tiles. The ridge line of the building is situated east-west.
The building is constructed of red brick. The west facade is rendered with a natural stone motif.
The south facade of the building, a long side, has two wooden T-windows. To the right of these is a lean-to with a lean-to roof, which contains the entrance. The lean-to roof is covered with red Dutch tiles. The entrance originally consists of a wooden hinged door. To the left of this door is a double-hinged wooden window.
The east facade of the building is on the ground floor closed off by a new extension. Above this is in the gable top a small wooden window. The west facade has on the ground floor a wooden T-window and on the upper storey a hinged wooden window. The north facade has one wooden T-window and two small wooden windows.
Valuation
The former agricultural labourer's dwelling is of general importance on account of its architectural and cultural-historical value as an example of a simple 19th-century rural dwelling. Furthermore, the building is of defining visual significance by its location on the medieval terp of Eenigenburg and possesses ensemble value with the other buildings on the terp.
