Omschrijving onderdeel 21
TUINVAAS. Rustieke vaas op provisorisch opgetrokken sokkel van ijsselsteentjes (circa 1,75 meter). De kelkvormige vaas (doorsnede bovenrand circa 1,5 meter), die uit beton is samengesteld, is voorzien van een lijst van boomstronken langs de kelkrand en van bladranken op de huid van de kelk. De huid van de kelk is afgewerkt als gladde boombast (beuk).
De vaas werd omstreeks 1900 in het park van Sorghvliet (het Nieuwe Werk) opgesteld en is vanouds omgeven door een cirkelvormige aanplant van boogvormig gesnoeide buxus.

GARDEN URN. Rustic urn on a provisionally built base of ijsselsteen tiles (circa 1.75 metres). The chalice-shaped urn (diameter upper edge circa 1.5 metres), which is composed of concrete, is provided with a border of tree stumps along the chalice edge and with leaf scrolls on the body of the chalice. The body of the chalice is finished as smooth tree bark (beech).
The urn was installed around 1900 in the park of Sorghvliet (the Nieuwe Werk) and has been surrounded from of old by a circular planting of arched-trimmed box.
