Inleiding
Vrijstaand, verdiepingloos gebouwtje, rond 1925 als duinwachterskantoor gebouwd aan de rand van het beboste duingebied van Westerschouwen. Het ontwerp is geinspireerd op het zakelijk expressionisme.
Omschrijving
De sobere gevels zijn opgetrokken uit wit geschilderde baksteen op een zwart geschilderde plint. Deels terugspringende voorgevel en achtergevel. Het platte dak is voorzien van een ver overstekende, sobere, getimmerde daklijst. Geheel oorspronkelijke, enkelvoudige en gekoppelde houten kozijnen met schuiframen voorzien van een horizontale roede in de bovenramen en behangen met luiken; oorspronkelijke houten voordeur. De achtergevel is geheel "blind" uitgevoerd. In het zeer sobere interieur zijn de hoofdopzet en de houten kozijnen met deuren bewaard gebleven.

Klein en eenvoudig kantoorgebouwtje met functionele relatie met de lokatie, ontworpen in, voor de bouwtijd karakteristieke en in zijn omgeving opvallende, nog geheel gave architectuur; als zodanig een object van cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde.

Freestanding, single-storey building, built around 1925 as a dune warden's office on the edge of the wooded dune area of Westerschouwen. The design is inspired by functionalist expressionism.

The austere facades are constructed of white-painted brick on a black-painted plinth. Partly recessed front and rear facades. The flat roof is provided with a far-projecting, austere, timber cornice. Entirely original, single and coupled wooden frames with sash windows fitted with a horizontal glazing bar in the upper sashes and fitted with shutters; original wooden front door. The rear facade is executed entirely "blind". In the very austere interior the main layout and the wooden frames with doors have been preserved.
Valuation
Small and simple office building with functional connection to the location, designed in architecture characteristic of its time and striking in its surroundings, entirely well-preserved; as such an object of cultural and architectural-historical value.
