HISTORIC GARDEN AND PARK LAYOUT. The composition of the park layout in landscape style of Klein Noordijk is not only attuned to the house Klein Noordijk, but has to this day also been oriented towards the layout of the country estate Groot Noordijk situated on the opposite side of the H.W. Iordensweg. This compositional and visual interweaving can be partly explained by the kinship of the owners of the two country estates at that time, but is also partly based on the already existing layout of Noordijk, which was used as a foundation for the layout of Klein Noordijk. The Topographic and Military map of 1846 gives an image of the layout of Noordijk some 10 years before its division into the country estates Groot and Klein Noordijk. The map from 1846 indicates that this terrain east of the H.W. Iordensweg, where Klein Noordijk would come into being, was already largely wooded according to the pattern that can be discerned in the current park layout. This woodland formed the backdrop of a broad view from the house Noordijk in an easterly direction, which still extends over a meadow enclosed by the mentioned woodland. The latter meadow was slightly enlarged when the park of Klein Noordijk was laid out and provided with a wooded edge running in broad curves (now beech and oak, 19th century). On the north side an approach drive was laid out also running in a broad curve, which now serves as the 'rear exit' of Klein Noordijk. From the front (west) side of the house built at the SE corner of this meadow there is to this day a broad view over this meadow towards the house Groot Noordijk, whereby the meadow on the east side of Groot Noordijk considerably strengthens the spatial quality of this view and whereby the wooded edge around this meadow serves as backdrop to this view.

When the park was laid out, part of the woodland south of the house was felled and a meadow on the south side of the terrain was extended to the house. The view thereby realized from the house in a southerly direction is bounded on both sides by woodland backdrops laid out at this time (now oak, beech and coniferous trees, 19th and 20th century), which curve away in a southerly direction. Along the edge of the western woodland backdrop the current drive was laid out. In this meadow south of the house several monumental groups of trees (oak and beech, 19th century), which lend depth to the view. The mentioned view in a southerly direction extends as far as the Wolbospad.

The significance of the views from the house in the park in westerly and southerly directions is expressed in the architecture and the window placement and arrangement of the house. Thus the windows of the house on these sides are relatively large in size and provided with an unusually large glazing arrangement and the front door on the west side is also entirely glazed. When the park was laid out, a broad pattern of winding paths was set out in the woodland east and north of the house, which still exists, and the woodland was planted with new trees and shrubs (now beech, oak, linden, plane tree, coniferous trees, rhododendrons, 19th and 20th century). On the north side of the house an orchard and a kitchen garden were laid out, which have been preserved as open meadows.

In the parkland north of the orchard and kitchen garden there is a circular basin, which possibly still forms a remnant of the formal layout of Noordijk; on the Topographic Map of the Veluwe and Veluwezoom by M.J. de Man from 1812 the plan of this basin already appears to be indicated.

From the path in the woodland section of Klein Noordijk, which branches off in a westerly direction from the Wolbospad, there is a view of a meadow, which is part of the historic layout. At this location the south side of the cadastral parcel Wilp no. A3 2860 forms the boundary of the historic layout. In fact, this view also extends to the meadowland situated north thereof (cadastral parcel Wilp no. A3 2860), in which some solitary oaks, but this section does not (any longer) belong to the historic layout, because the compositional connection between this meadow and the historic layout has become too unclear.

The small neo-formal garden directly on the west side of the house came into being in the 1990s of the 20th century and is of subordinate significance for the layout.
